I have a 2003 Cobra T-56 Tranny, Aluminum Driveshaft, And brand new Mgw Shifter that has been sitting in my garage for over a year. Ive heard these badboys fit in the foxbody's, but it needs some alteration? What exactly do i need to buy for this thing to fit and work Properly, and where can i get this stuff?

Thanks Guys

Joe

Go to summit for the bell housing. I don't know about the driveshaft. I had to go to a shop to get a new one. But the one u have might work?

Which BellHousing on Summmit? And i heard the DS needs to be shortened, along with a new speedo cable, and Kross Member....Is this true, and where do i get all this stuff?

Can't answer most of your questions...but you WILL need a new cross member. This is a common install. I think DD Motorsports may have a kit or would know what you need. They advertise these setups in MMFF all the time.

Yea there Website only sells the FULL Kit, meaning with the tranny, and Driveshaft, which i already have. I may have to give them a call. Knowone on any board has really been able to answer this question...

Summit calls it a cobra bellhousing its $190.00 and the crossmember is $70.00 you do not need a new speedo cable. When I installed it in my stang every thing went in easy.

Looking at your setup, no real need to install it anyway. Just sell it, use the money for more power! That is unless you plan on a power adder or stroker and going beyond the torque limits of the T-5. Then by all means, figure out a way to get that T-56 under your car. And yes, calling D&D would probably result in the kit (minus the tranny) unless they don't like making money. :)

Yes i Plan on Big power down the road. I wanna get the Drivetrain all done 1st if yah know what i mean, Clutch,Flywheel,Tranny,Flywheel,Gears etc. I know it can be done...Ive seen it B4!:D

your gonna need a new bellhousing to fit the 302, a custom length driveshaft, longer speedo cable (i think the 03 cobra tranny is electronic so you would have no speedo)..you have to modify the crossmember and you need a new clutch assembly because the 03 cobra t56 is a 26 spline input shaft whereas the D&D base model T56 is a 10 spline liek the T5.....i bought my kit from D&D and everything went in smoothly and easily....but as far as putting one from an 03 cobra in, im not sure if the shifter will line up in the hole, youd have to measure or ask someone who has done it. Physically is it possible, yes.....is it worth the time, money, and aggrevation? now thats up to you to decide
