I drove my friends C5 the other day and with zero effort it slips right into reverse.... the D&D T-56 in my car... i need 3 hands to get it into reverse.

My friend said something about the T-56 in his C5 having some type of servo that below 5 or 10 mph it allows to enter reverse with zero effort.... anyone know if the aftermarket mustang T-56s have such a thing?

Most transmissions you need to wait a second for them to go into reverse since there is no syncro gear.

Maybe the shift stops arent adjusted right?

Do you have a hydro or mechanical clutch, if its mech. it may need adjusted. Go from 1st to reverse because most trannys dont have a reverse synchro, and why would you want to go into reverse at 10 mphs anyways??

There is an internal gate in the transmission that blocks 3rd gear. It requires adding power to the solenoid on the transmisison, for it to open. I have mine wired to a switch, for when I need reverse. With power to it, it falls right into reverse.

thats the connector you need...it clips right into the solenoid on the side of the shifter base....wire it up to a switch or into the brake's so when you step on the brakes it powers it up.
