I was changing my fuel filter and noticed my hoses were dry rotted and cracked on the plastic fittings. They wouldn't mate up tight and were leaking so I just cut off plastic fittings, slid the hose over the nipples and used hose clamps. They aren't leaking anymore but am I safe with this set-up or do i need to get new hoses with fittings? I double clamped each hose end to be safe.
