Well i am going to replace my t-stat and was just wondering which one should i get.I stay in wisconsin so it gets pretty cold out,and in the summer can get around the 90's once in while, but we are in the 80's most of the time.

thanks
Jesse

factory specs are 192* which will work fine in your case (stock motor). but don't buy just any thermostat i recommend a (stant super stat 192*-195*) thermostat $7 at advance auto parts.it has a lifetime gurantee and if it malfunctions its guaranteed to stick in the open position.

i only use stant used alot of others and had alot of problems. changed to stant no problems to date. but i hear mr gasket makes a very good thermostat it costs about $2 more without guarantee to stick open and life time warranty.click on link below. you can't beat a stant super stat thermostat with price or guarantee my choice.

I am an avid Mr G user. It is fully balanced, opens fully sooner than generics and has a bleed hole for ya. If you get one at the stock temp rating (190-whatever), it should still perform a lot better than a generic (some generics wont open fully till up to 20*past its rating (the fact that the Mr G is balanced is what allows it to open so precisely).

I have not tried the one that Bill likes so I cant comment - he seems to like it pretty well.

Good luck.

i do drill a bleeder hole in mine before install.

well next winter i do plan on putting the car up for winter,so i will drive it for the summer should i go with 180 or still go with 192* because of the stock motor.i will be doing the head in the fall, and i am going to be swaping to a cobra intake as soon as i have all the parts to together.

thanks
