Congrats on the car... I saw it for sale on craigslist and was interested... But I just purchased a 87 Gt vert closer to me instead. I had a 88 Gt with t-tops and loved it. Dont bother with the AC and getting it all hooked up. When it is nice take those t-tops off and cruise around.

Good luck with the work.. Get it done for 08 so you can enjoy it all season long.

Pete

a/c drain hole?

yeah the drain on the firewall, on the passenger side. its down pretty low. Thats where the antifreeze is pouring out of. so im assuming thats the heater core. mine always leaked inside the car, this is a first time seeing it come from this spot for me. But the heater box behind the dash is all part of the system with the a/c so im assuming its bad. Leaking into the box and out the hole.

I know what your saying, I was just explaining why i still have them, and how I have no idea how someone would even ship those, but Im sure youll see similar items once your on the job. If you want dibbs on the panels just tell me. They have speaker grilles with nice aft speakers and everything. Its a sweet price!!! WORTH THE TRIP!! Let me know whenever you want them , they are yours.

I can meet you in Burlington MA.... in the burlington mall parking lot...its the easiest location in my area to meet at. 01803 If it took you 2 hrs to get to CT, probably close to double it. I work for Lexus and my factory training is based in Parsippany NJ... 4 hr drive. At least its all highways and as long as its not rush hour, the drive is easy. Oh and a brand new lexus rental and free gas helps.

1. dont wan to to deal with having to rebuild rear all the time.
2. its not as bad as everyone says it is
3. never gonna have a problem with c clips
4. will always spin both tires, will never one wheel peal
5. i already have it with the rear i bought

there are a couple guys on here and the opinion of most of the guys who drive it on the street says its not as bad as people who dont have them make them seem. So the tires mite squeel in the parking lot, thers worse things in life. but i wont have to make tight turns in a parking lot cuz i will be parking way out in the back . lol away from everybody else

I would have to agree w/ Joe on that one. Why a spool in a 95% street car? Trac-lok or after market posi at the most...but a spool? no thx. Of course, mine is set up for the twisties....straight line stuff makes me want to fall asleep.

Good luck w/ the project. I bought my T-Top stang in about the same condition, and its been 6....yeah....6 painful years but I'm finally getting it back on the road.

1. I put gears in my rear end 1 time and never rebuilt it.

2. on a car to be driving on the street.... its not worth it.

3. c- clip failure is one of the biggest overplayed things ever on a car

4. my eaton posi made both tires spin with no 1 wheel peel.

5. sell that rear and keep it simple

so have you actually drivin a spool? its the biggest pain in the ass on the street. Squeal in the parking lot? So you dont take corners on the street ever? its one of the biggest mistakes to put into a street car.

Here is what my eaton posi with c-clip axles stood upto, and this was dumping it at 6500 rpms. NEVER Broke a thing and made 50 HARD passes with this car before selling it.
