1. I put gears in my rear end 1 time and never rebuilt it.

2. on a car to be driving on the street.... its not worth it.

3. c- clip failure is one of the biggest overplayed things ever on a car

4. my eaton posi made both tires spin with no 1 wheel peel.

5. sell that rear and keep it simple


so have you actually drivin a spool? its the biggest pain in the ass on the street. Squeal in the parking lot? So you dont take corners on the street ever? its one of the biggest mistakes to put into a street car.



Here is what my eaton posi with c-clip axles stood upto, and this was dumping it at 6500 rpms. NEVER Broke a thing and made 50 HARD passes with this car before selling it.

WEll its not a daily driver,just a nice cruiser and weekend car. I have a pickup and 4 banger probe that i drive daily. Me and my buddy both burned up the cluthces in the rear within 3-4 years of abuse on the street. Another friend of mine older guy who only bracket races the car, never sees the street went through auburns like candy and a child.

I dunno i guess i could drive for a little while and if i dont like it i can just sell it and pick up a nice eaton or something. I wont have to drive the car all the time so i think i could deal with it.

If you're short on cash, just rebuild the factory posi. It's something simple that you can do yourself, and only costs $50 in parts. You REALLY don't want a spool on the street.

88BlackLX UPDATE!! My co-worker will be headed down to NJ in 2 weeks for training (perfect timing). He will be at the holiday Inn in parsippany m-thurs . I can sort out the details with you later on, but he agreed to bring the black quarter panels down with him to save you about 8 hrs of driving. If you can scrounge up $150 by the week of nov 5th... let me know we can make this work out alot easier for you.

no Prob Im glad I saved you a hell of a road trip! Once it gets to november, PM me and we can talk specifics and plan on a time and date. training gets out around 5, and he can do whatever he wants , mostly we just chill in the hotel and order pizza... feel free to grab a slice the kid is a cool ****.
