Honestly all the T5 pictures look the same to me . Everything i can find online to identify them are outside the car with the bellhousing off. Wasn't sure if there was a way to tell if it's a world class or not still installed.You could google images of a T5 online. They're pretty distinct.

I bought the car in 03 as my first car then drove it daily until around 2010 when he transmission went out. Bought a transmission and new tires but never got around to installing. Had a spare truck to drive so I just parked the car, plates expired, life got in the way and car sat since then. Found a date, looks like 87 to me so assuming it should be a world class T5.I don't think you can tell what version of the transmission you have without either having it out of the car and opening it up or having the tag.

Might be a while before I can get it out to look. It definitely has something wrong with grinding going into reverse so rebuild will be in the futureYes. Likely an 87-89 spec T5 rated for 265 ft-lbs.
Of course, not guaranteed. Would need to open to confirm the gearset. Wasn’t uncommon to put the 90+ guts in these during a rebuild back when the gearsets were pretty cheap.

I don't remember the add specifying what engine was in the car it came out of but it did go strait in mine with no issuesI am assuming OP did an simple swap when he installed it and dodn't need to do anything special. That alone suggests to me the trans is a mustang application, and since he did not mention excessive vibration and not changing pilot bearings it's likely not a 4-banger T5.
