Alright guys I tore my t5 down last night in my 93 LX when I drained my fluid out it looked like some weird purplish brownish metallic paint you would see on a donk, so I was expecting it to look like a few antique cherry bombs went off in it but turns out I only have a broke 1-2 gear shift fork, 1 bad synchro, and my speedo gear was sheared clean off(but strangely my speedo was working fine) which is sort of a relief. All of the gears and shafts almost have no wear on them. Well i've called every parts house in town and no luck on locating a shift fork except for the ford dealer who want 130 bucks for one I thought that was outrageous.Where is the best place to get these? and Does anyone make "beefed up" forks? Thanks in advance guys for the feedback any will be appreciated

I bought mine at http://www.thegearbox.org/home.html They ship fast and the prices are good... I think 20 bux for borg werner shift forks with pads.... No one makes beefed up forks I already looked for em.

The guys at the gearbox are great... I called with a question when pputting mine back together and he helped me out.... Great company and great custome service.

I bought both shift forks and the billet steel sync keys for mine... The keys wont break or shear off like the pot metal oem ones.
