Hi,
I have a '94 5.0 with a T5. I replaced the clutch and TO bearing last winter and while I was at it replaced the stock shifter with a Tri-Ax. The clutch and shifter work great but sometimes I have a hard time getting the trans into first gear or reverse if I'm at a complete stop. It also seems to stick in first or reverse when I try to move the shifter back into neutral when stopped. I can get it to go but I have to really have to force it out of gear. The car has around 58,000 miles and other than the clutch and shifter it is all stock. These shifting issues don't happen all the time and only when the car is at a stop. When I'm going down the road it shifts fine, a little more notchy than the stock shifter but otherwise it's good. The new clutch seems to engage just like the original one, so I think its adjusted OK. I also replaced the trany fliud when I had everything apert. What do you guys think?

i doubt its the synchros with that few miles on it.....my synchros were replaced 2 years ago and are still in good shape with a fair amount of abuse(powershifting).....couldnt tell you really what it is though

IIRC no synchros on first and reverse. Did you use synthetic ATF when you replaced the fluid? I put synthetic Mobil 1 ATF in my T5 and it shifted harder and would grind on ocassion. I went back to regular ATF and it cured all my troubles.
