T56 in a 68

I am about to change the tranny in my car from a T5 to a T56 6 Speed tranny. I already have lowering engine mounts and will purchase a corssmember that is adjustable from DVS. I hope this eliminates or greatly reduces my trans tunnel interference issues. Has anyone on here done the conversion? I have some info from one of the other forum sites and no one has indicated trans tunnel mods were needed. Any input would be appreciated.

You should check Ron Morris performance. He has a new crossmember out. I purchased one but have not talked to the shop installing it yet to see if they had any issues.

I've heard but not been able to confirm that you wont be able to get the correct pinion angle without modifying the trans tunnel.

Ditto on that.
We're doing it on a 69 but are still waiting for the engine, so no real first hand info yet. The T56 is quite a bit wider towards the driveshaft end so dont expect to do it without cutting.
