OK, i give myself fair warning, im ready for all the nasty comments but i am at whits end trying to find what i need through the search engine.


please please please help me out with a part number for any workable tach adapter i can buy for my 97 GT. Need to install my tach already.

Thanks in advance and if i missed the answer through my searches, i aplogize in advance.

1997 does not need a tach adapter, just go right to the harness behind the inst cluster and pull your siginal, ground, light and power.

Yup. I wired mine directly into the tach signal wire.

yeah i thought 99 up needed the dallas mustang adapter...us 96-98 guys were straight wire. Atleast we have some advantages on the 99-04 besides looking better

Dude, thats cuase i called Summit on three different occasions and they SWORE i needed a tach adapter. The part numbers they gave me all stated they were for Coil On Plug designs.

I dont have coil on plug! i told them and they said i was wrong ,lol

Summit....thats the problem I only deal with them if i have a specific part # and know exactly what i want. But most mail order places are staffed with non car loving people...
