I had my sport comp tach mounted on the lower A-piller and then got the dash bracket posted. I like it for the most part. I have found it to "wobble" alittle side to side but it is nice. Having it on the A-piller but a small indent on the dash pad from the outer part of the tach. It went away after a few days so no biggie.
The stock tach on my car is 300 or so off at 3k and around 600 or so off above 5k. It is deff. needed if you are looking for a real rpm and a desire to repeat that rpm (for shifting).

mine was higher...the idle seems to be REALLY accurate though on the stocker and a tic off on the autometer . I dataloged it one time with the digital dashboard and at idle the stocker is more accurate but everywere else the autometer was WAY more accurate. However, with the stocker that off higher I am still glad I have an aftermarket one.
