Anyone have these?

I'm trying to decide which one to get. I would think the stainless are better quality since there's no plastic.

The chrome might be more of a match with the GT emblem although the stainless is supposed to be polished to a "mirror" finish. I'm also concerned that the chrome might separate from the plastic over time.

Also - if I don't like the look, how difficult are they to remove? They both use the 3M adhesive.

I've got the chromed plastic. I think they look great with nice curved radius edges. I have seeen various metal ones and think they look more clumsy and can bend too. Once on, you can easily remove them but I don't think you'd want to. It has a 5 star rating on that site. I paired mine with a SHR honeycomb panel and a SHR alloy Mach 1 fake gas cap.

I used the stainless ones and they have been on for well over a year. They look great (they shine like chrome) and I don't have to worry about the chrome peeling off the plastic like it sometimes does.

I've got the chromed plastic and think they actually look nicer than the aluminum since they're domed (not flat) and look more 'retro' in that respect.

Also, since most "chrome" on cars is plastic these days I'm not too concerned about it peeling...if it does I guess I'll peel the trim off and replace it. So far it's looking good.

I don't think you'll need to worry about removal because I'd be willing to bet you'll be happy with the look of either (aluminum or plastic). Either way, you can put them on your car and have a look first without having to stick them down permanently.

As for the "gross" comment by 08blueskunk...we're all entitled to our own subjective opinions no matter how incorrect they are

I like the SHR panel - it's a nice contrast to the silver. Not sure if it would go as well with my car.
