First off let me say this, it has been awhile since I have been here, so if I am not following any sort of forum edict I apologize.

My tranny has been leaking for quite some time now (right onto the cats, well it pretty much gets flung around everywhere by the DS) and after replacing the rear seal it still leaks. I suspect the tailhousing bushing as I get that nice droning sound at higher speeds indicative of the bushing wearing. I know how to replace it, but the new bushing has a lubrication hole and some passages on the inner diameter. I would assume that there is a correct orientation for this hole, whether facing the top or bottom. I cannot find any info in the T-5 rebuild manual or any of the online guides like the T-5 rebuild saga. Anyone have any thoughts?

Disregard... Duh

Well, after removing the old one it is pretty obvious. The is an obvious oil passage it aligns with. The busing is fried, so at least I know it was the problem.

how did you get the shifter mechanism out so you could remove the tailhousing? im stuck and cant get the damn thing all the way off. i have the new bushing and seal to fix my lil pony, but i cant get the tailshaft housing off. thanks!
