i was wanting to know a checklist for taking out the air conditioner... like what brackets i should get. and what to do with the belt tensioner. theres going to be some extra slack and what not. im not quite sure how to re-route the belt...
1. An A/C Delete Kit, the best one seems to be the Ford kit that relocates your P/S pump to where the Compressor is now. You can run a pice of string around your accesories and measure it to get an idea of what size belt you need (may take a few trips to the parts store)
2. You should be VERY CAREFULL when discharging your system if there is any freon in it. You don't want a face full of it.
3. Then it is just a matter of pulling out the compressor and it's lines and puling the condensor from in front of the radiator. You can plug the open ends of the evaporator core that will be sticking through the firewall with heater core bypass caps.
4. Carry some deoderant with you so you are not foul smelling from the sweat.
