Just bought a vette. I pick it up next week and get to break it in driving 3 days down California highway 1 (PCH) from Half Moon Bay to home with stops in Monterey (17 mile scenic drive), Carmel, and Morro Bay.

The 66 will be sold as a rolling chassis with the engine and trans sold separately.

The 05 Mustang will be traded in on my wifes new SUV in a few months.

With this purchase I will have officially completed the Big Three Trifecta (Started out owning Dodges, moved to Fords, now to Chevy)

I will say that of all of the auto/boat/electronics/etc internet forums I have been on this classic section has been the best. The people here have really been great and I hope that I did not bring down the quality too much while I was here.

Hey football-boy! You are not allowed to disappear off this board! Remember the the last few lines of "Hotel California".......

"Relax" said the night man
"We are programmed to receive"
"You can check out any time you like;"
"But you can never leave"

But They were cool MOPARS; a 68 Dodge Charger R/T (you know, like the one in Bullit) and a 70 Cuda.

OK, GP, I'll give you that on the Mopars. Both Cool. Just as long as they were not Valiants or Dusters!

No, really, I think it is. I think I have been fully assimilated into the new regime. I thought my 05 Mustang was nice, but this thing is incredible. 436 hp, awesome ride even with the upgraded handling package, awesome sound with the upgraded "dual mode" exhaust package, excellent interior... But I guess with an MSRP more than double the Mustang that should be expected.

Is it?

(Waiting to see if somebody else pics it up)

I dunno, gp; I got to ride along last Friday night as my kid's boyfriend spanked a C5 that was denying him a lane-change. In this :

(The pic is I think one of those from an older ME article; but same driver/car with a replacement engine; after the 306 died.)

I'd say somewhere between your two Mustangs in size/weight (closer to the '05); and it was 2500RPM to 5500RPM and taking the lane before I could spit out "S#!T!"

And that was just N/A; as he's still trying to decide, "Blower? Or back on the bottle?"
One setup or the other will very likely make some C6 jockey feel sad on the strip someday.

Well set-up fresh 347; I developed new-found respect for SN94's and the little 302 block right then and there.

EDIT: And for the leg-humpers; yes, that is the same car as in Cowgirl Tink's avatar.
