I'm finishing up the build on my 306 and I'm picking up the entire edelbrock performer package - the smog legal one. I was going to order ford racing valve covers, and pick up the tall ones. Running roller rockers. In addition to this, if I use the tall valve covers, do I need the manifold spacer? Edelbrock has a manifold spacer kit that's .5 inch thick, but it also claims cooler charge and more power?

pedestal or stud mount?

i have stud mounts on my edelbrock's and used fox covers with the baffle removed and grinded the ridge down where the baffle was. i also had to grind where it would hit the alternator.

I'm running the edelbrock performer intake. I tried calling edelbrock but the tech support didn't even have a good answer. :( Guess I'll pick up the tall valve covers and see what happens. Thanks for your input so far. Anybody else?
