Taller rear springs?

I had a set of Ford Racing B springs, but my rear sat too low for my tastes. I wanted to bring it up for wheel fit, so I installed some rear "hatchback variable rate" rear springs, OEM replacement type. It brought the rear up slightly, but I would like to bring it up some more. I have Strange adjustable shocks so ride isn't a worry, I just want to bring it up a little more. Before I had more wheel gap in the front, now the wheel gap is about even, but I would like a tad more wheel gap in the rear than the front.

So my question is, what springs are the tallest without making it look like a 69 Chevelle? GT, Vert, or GT or Vert 94+?

Are you basing this all on looks? What type of driving do you normally do? Any drag-racing/corner carving or just a daily 'point a to point b' driver?

An adjustable lower control arm or a coil over conversion is your best bet. Then you can put it where ever you want. Check out the mm site.

It's my DD/drag car. I want more room for my street tires, as they are tucked due to the height of the car, and I want that extra little room to step up from 26" slicks to 28".

Adjustable control arms would be a great idea, but are far out of my price range at the moment. I can't justify that much money for something that can be done for the much cheaper price of a set of springs.

I've got Eibach Pro Kit springs...they're not drag springs but they definitely sit higher in the back. They're useful for clearing fat tires but personally i can't stand the raked look.

wow...first ive ever heard of rear B springs being too low lol. Mine were rediculously high compared to the fronts..

see

get some NEW isolators if you dont have them...probably the most inexpensive way to raise it

Odd. I have new isolators, both top and bottom. I never really noticed the hugh difference in mine until I did the 5-lug conversion (rear drums) and put 17" 04 Gt rims on with 275/40/17s in the rear.

The rears had no gap and the top of the wheels were tucked in the well a tad, where as the fronts had gap. Now I have a gap with 93 hatchback springs in the rear, but I would like it to be higher slightly.

I looked at UPRs adjustable upper spring mounts, but they don't work with stock springs....so again, I would have to spend more money than I want to just to raise the rear up a tad. I am hoping that maybe stock 94+ vert springs will do the trick.

I'm pretty sure Steeda sells a lower control arm that has a height adjustment to it and you can adjust it without jacking the car up or removing a wheel...sorta like coil overs. Basically the lower spring perch is on a thick bolt that screws into the control arm body and you screw it either way to raise or lower it.

New poly isolators will help. Also...HPM makes 1/4" plastic spacers for their LCA's. I had two in my notch on eash side, then I took one out...lowered/ raised it 1/4". I don't know if you can buy them seperatley though.
