So I had some time at work this weekend to think over my wiring. Compared it to the Holley EFI techs wiring recommendation, drew it out the way he stated. Then drew it out the way I had it.
Compared the two....same.
The ECU signal can't be switched to ground. All the other I/Os can, but this one in particular is designed to be a 12v signal programmed to prime the pump and then power it once it sees RPM.

So now it's time to get the meter back out and see where the wheels came off.
Going to check that the 12v from the ECU is actually 12 (pump primed weak, maybe it can't pull the contacts in), going to check the built in fuel circuit relay, and then re-test the new relays and make sure they weren't wired wrong from Magnafuel

Finally got around to dropping the transmission and addressing the flexplate.

Being up a good bit higher made it easier but maneuvering a th400 by yourself on the floor is still a bitch.

It's all back in and ready to rock now though.

Started eyeballing spots for the trans cooler. With the stock fuel tank, fuel pump and all that jazz, I don't have the real estate out back I thought I would.
Everyone says to stick it where the mufflers were but im just not liking it.

Considering putting it here. Would pull cool(ish) air in from the fender well, fits great, lines are protected by the strut tower etc etc.
Obviously leaks would be a concern, but that would be the case with it anywhere but outback behind the tires.
Going to stare at it a while longer.

Need to mount the cooler somewhere, fill the trans, run the shifter cable and bleed the brakes.
After that, assuming I figure out why the fuel pump hates me, it'll be ready for a maiden voyage.

If it were a street car I'd be more skeptical about that location. Worried about heat soak from the exhaust etc but for what you're doing...why not?

Well loosely defined street car lol. Not saying it can't or won't see the street. With the open exhaust etc it definitely would be an attention getter

Guessing the lack of AC and power steering/power brakes disqualifies it?
Not enough padding on the seats? Radio?

Factory shortblock, hyd roller on pump gas.
Everything else is just a lack of creature comforts. It even has fancy power windows!

Hmmmm,...surely that engine is capable of more than 300 hp N/A? I guess we know what kind of boost numbers you intend to run then...24.5 p.s.i is what it takes to make 300 HP become 1000?

Made 310fwhp stock. Now has a cam, marginally better exhaust and too big of an intake. Might be giving it too much credit!

You lost me at the horn, it was about 100* outside when I swapped wheels. Had to give up on the horn wiring lol
