I like itDid a thing today. Didn't have $6-700 to put into an aftermarket hood and frankly I like the flat hood look anyways so I ran a couple towns over and dropped $40 on this gem.
I feel the hood looks bent up I'll direct you to look at my tailgate for reference. My iPhone camera is completely dicked and it's a miracle I can take any pictures at all.
So began the infuriating process of "clearancing" the hood.
I'd rather drop the trans out 5 times in a row than do thisagain! Especially alone.
I covered the intake lid with electrical tape to prevent scratches and proceeded to cut, grind, fit, curse and repeat until...
It's not perfect, there's a chance it's not even straight, but damn it, it works.
I'd like to make a trim ring/seal of some sort and I've got a bit of cleaning up left to do.

Just need to weld the latch assembly to my tubular deal which I luckily never cut off or disassembled. I'm sure lining that up will prove equally frustrating

Going to take a century to realign the front end, but overall it's going to look decent.
Also redid my turbo oiling today to make it less cobbled together looking. It used to go to the drivers side turbo and then a line ran from there to the passenger turbo. It stuck straight up and I'll bet that it would have done a poor job of moving oil.
It now meets at a Y fitting in the middle and goes to each turbo.
Need to build a bracket of sorts to secure the line but it's much more good-er I think.
It was about 180 degrees in the garage today and I had to mow the yard and fix some plumbing I've been putting off so that's all I could get accomplished for the day and likely the weekend.
Still hoping do be driving it in about a week.

I kind of like the hole in the hood look, kind of reminds me of Sharrods red car.
BOOOOOOO!Went out in the garage today needing to fix a small fuel leak and hook up the brake pedal.
Then it would be time to drop the car and go for a short drive. Heavy emphasis on short.
As it turns out there is NO pushrod attached to the master so that would be why the pedal doesn't do anything.
Also my -10 line had a hole in it, so it'll need replaced.
Basically everything i came in contact with today was screwed up in some fashion.
One thing led to another (I ended up coveted in gasoline) and I ordered a 15gal fuel cell. Tired of this damned stock tank and pickup that always seems to give me fits.
Also strongly considering ripping ALLLLLL the wiring out of the car, buying a Leash board and starting from scratch.
Fed up with dealing with a few aspects of this project for the sake of being able to drive it. So back apart it comes. We'll see how long this sets me back. 2018 here I come

Eventual mini tubs will have forced a fuel cell anyways so I'm going to try and be conscious of the placement ahead of time as those aren't on the menu for now.
Also need to hit up Sharad and see if I can get a pushrod for this brake master. Racecraft has them for $24 and wants another $20 to ship it which has made me want to steer clear of them all together.
