taurus fan pics inside

do you mean the dual speed or dual fan? cause i havent really seen too many ppl that used the dual fan, but i believe they came in the later model taurus' like late 90's...not to say it wouldnt work tho

the dual fans that come on the later taurus. I believe one is a low speed fan and the other kicks on if that isnt enough.that or its a pusher puller type, if thats the case it may or may not work.I picked one up for 30 bucks, I figured for that price if it didnt work I wasnt out too much. My JY was littered with them. there was an SVT contour, but someone ganked the fan before I got to it. my second choice was a 96 lincoln continental, but I couldnt figure how to get the fans off.(not a lot of room between the engine and the radiator).

I posted before the svt and plain old V6 contour use the same fan only the radiator is different, so you don't have to look for the svt only, more of a chance finding a regular contour vs the svt one :nice: .

well too late for that now. I got the dual setup from a 3.0 taurus. it will be a while before I can see how well it works though. my car will be on jackstands for a while.

should still do the trick... id probably opt for a dual speed controller with dual fans though

Nice

Nice, I just got my DCC fan controller in the mail yesterday, picked up a Taurus fan on Ebay a few weeks ago. I have a 3G PA Performance alt and all the wires ready to go on too.

It's still too cold here to spend any time out in the garage though. :notnice:

I wanted to mount mine in the stock shroud, so I copied someone else's idea and cut out just the ring around the Taurus shroud, and centered it in the stock shroud with some bolts. Worked pretty well. Took some fine adjusting to get it away from the wp pulley and not too close to the rad fins on the back side.

Only paid $18 at a jy for the fan, so I wasn't afraid to cut it up. :D
