TB or Pulleys which one????

Pulleys! A TB alone will gain next to nothing. When you do get a TB, get a C&L or Accufab plenum with it. Even then, this is a (true, not bs numbers) 4-8 rwhp gain. But it's noticable above 3K...pulls better.

I already have the TFS plenum so shoudl I go with the TB instead of the pulleys.

Duh. I do not have a mustang anymore but in my past experience, TB's do pretty much nothing but cost money unless you have a blower or have some major engine mods. Get the pulleys! Then you might have a chance of catchin up with me in the Formula ;)

Go with the pulleys. The pulleys will give you a slight SOTP gain AND give you better milage. The throttle body won't give oyu much and it probably will take away from gas milage.

leave the tb alone until under forced induction as mentioned above it will do nothing but cost you time and money. You are guarenteed to see a gain with pullies. Go with steeda or march as they are the only companies that offer a built in dampner instead of that stupid ass piggyback idea.

hard decision because both wont do much at all.
TB will optimize your plenum and make way for future mods and have been good even on NA cars. Go to modular depot and check out the plenum showdown.

pulleys --- dynotuned for 2.3 hp. hold on to your wallets. Seen other similar comparisons with dismal results. Not the mod they once were on 5.0 engines.

I heard from a local shop that in order to get a C&L plenum you would need a TB to match up to it so, personally, I would go TB. Either way you would see a slight improvement.

i'm sorry but what the hell kind of adviSe is this? you NEED a tb to get a Plenum? English next time please, not Korean.

For the original poster, i hope you make the right choice getting steeda ud's. Of course get the one that fits your car which is the 96-2001 1/2 (smaller waterpump. pulley). You can find them cheap on ebay usually for $80-$100 shipped. Good gains, smoother revving, quieter operation of vehicle. i'm at 5k and i don't feel or hear it. So smooooooOOOth..

edit: adviSe korean style spelling for your ass

Look at it this way too. Right now your car is getting plenty of air so why pack more air in there? If you had full exhaust and u were going to get a custom tune, then yea i'd get the TB but that'd be after i installed every other bolt on they have to offer. Just get the pullies and save the TB until one of the last things you buy.
