Good luck. I tried to fix mine, I have some rattles on the front console, and somewhere in the back. I gave up. I foam taped everything, and that worked for a few weeks and now their all back and they are pissed. Louder than ever. Stupid cheapy plastic mustangs, gotta love to hate them.:D

I am prepared to declare VICTORY over some of the rattles.

I identified one major and one possible minor cause of rattles.

I zip tied, fastened down, and trimmed off zip tie tag ends on many a wire harness. Here's one shot of that:

Also, one of the main rattles was like a soundboard. Here is the cause. The foam block in this picture was loose and rattling against the quarter trim panel making a highly anoying noise. The ironic thing is that it is there to reduce noise. I will get some Dynomat to replace it but for now it is coming out:

Now it is removed. I will clean up that adhesive when I install the Dynomat later this summer:

Cheap foam:

You can see how much nicer the replacement speaker grill and its fasteners are on this side:

Put the sound insulating blanket back in after cleaning it. It was very crooked as installed by the assembly line :notnice:

Gave all the rear plastic and rubber a good coat of 303 Aerospace Protectant while I had it apart. Vacuumed all the dirt and crap from below the seats also.

Shazam! Its back together. Hardest part is reinstalling the seat back:

Time for a test drive :nice:

Im thinking Moser 31 splines, a full bearing and seal kit (from whoever makes the best) and Im still undecided on the differential. I hear so many contradicting things about Auburn, Eaton, Detroit and FRPP, I dont know wtf to do.

Somebody tell me what the best, strongest diffential is for a daily driven, full bolt-on + heads and cams with 4.10s GT is!

damn it:)
Moser 31's, Auburn Pro, FRPP bearing kit...so far so good 2 years.

When I had my new top/Carpet/Leather installed last winter the old Italian guy who did the work (a true artisan) went through and cleaned , tightened and readjusted everything. Solid as a rock...I do have one in my Dash that drives me nuts if the radio isn't on.

Did you get a cloth top? We have a trim shop here owned by Italians. It is called Fabini's this is their website: http://www.fabini.com/

It def has less rattles. I think the spare may be moving around a little. I will address that tomorrow...

At least those stupid foam blocks do not rattle any more :nice: That was so annoying...
