When My car was AOD, I had a compucar 75 shot, off road X pipe and Borla Pro XS mufflers and I went from a 15.1 to a 13.6 @ 106. hehe that was with a 2.4 60ft also.

It helped the car tremendously, it did cost me headgasket repair eventually and I'm pretty sure that's why my AOD took a $hit.

Got a T-5 now though

I used to have a Nitrous Works TB Plate kit on my car, 100hp shot and never once had a problem. The car went 13.0 with just exhaust, CAI, and underdrives with good tires and 2.73 gears. Just remember that n2o can never be in the motor with the engine off. Sounds stupid but my frind blew up his car within 12 hrs of me installing his nitrous kit. He was not too bright though, its actually pretty safe, good luck.

Carb cars count?? Stock block, forged pistons, Ported heads.. I dont engage untill I'm in Second gear ( traction limits..). Lost a race do to Victor Head gaskets !! ( block is O ringed) I run Only Felpr gaskets ( the victor was a Napa " quick repair") NOS Cheater system, Holley Blue with Regulator.... Bottles?? I only use the bottle when I'm scared!! If the other guy really looks like a fast car I will add the fuel to my tank ( mixed with 1/2 tank 93) and hook up the bottle.. I get a lot of good runs that way!! maybe two times a Sat nite on the bottle an the rest on the motor. ( build a strong motor and use the NOS as a "Power Adder")
OH FYI... if there is a Nitrous Filling station in your town, find out where THEY get their bottles ( the big ones) from!! It is LEGAL for you to trans port the big bottles to your garage and save TONS of money on Juice.. Example: 10 lb bottle refill is what 35.00- 40.00 ?? to a 85 lbs bottle ( 55 Lbs of juice) for for 1.25 a Lb!! and your rocking!!

I have no experience, but the last guy i "raced" on the hiway owned my ass with nitrous. He actually waited for me to catch up to him as i was driving home minding my own business, then starts tachin up and pacing me. So i dropped into 3rd and left his ass in the dust, only to look into my rear view and see nothing but his cowl hood. He kept up every inch of they way up to about 120 or so and i backed down.

So then he pulls up next to me laughing, so i point at my motor and mouth the words "bone stock". He laughs, points at his hood, and hits his purge valve....then takes off like a bat out of hell.

I strongly agree with thumper, build a strong motor and use spray for a little extra punch when needed. There is nothing like beating someone N/A when they are spraying.

I've had alot of experiences but one stands out. I was in my buddies Z28 and this 96-98 Corbra wanted a go. He pulled away from us several times but when he let off he gave the typical signs of Nitrous use. Finally after about eight runs my buddy started just leaving him, I guess he ran out of spray.

Nothing funnier than hearing a ricer pruge, he thinks he's got a chance,

Nitrous purges kick ass.....they get me all hot blooded..lol

A couple weekends ago i was at the track, there was this black coupe running 8.5s every pass, he was the fastest car there by almost a whole second. The second fastest that i saw was actually an early '80s Camaro, and they raced. It was like a classic showdown. The Camaro was in the 9s but i'm pretty sure he knew he didnt stand a chance, but he starts hitting his purge when they hit the line, so the coupe hit his....it was awesome.

This car did Pro Street style burn outs...it was fully tubbed too. The guy burned out well past the 60ft line...it was great.... I want nitrous..lol

87 gt vert--minor bolt ons and a 100 shot--too many bottle to remember no problems---very quick.

94 gt vert--stock with 100 shot--went from 15.4 to 14.20

94 gt vert--347 stroker with 150 shot--1 burned piston,3 sets of headgaskets

I have a D&D shortblock that they put together for nitrous. with goodole trw flat tops (fox forged pistons)

I have set it as a rule that I wont put the bottle on the car until it runs 110 on the motor. I dont want to be a bottle baby
