Hi guys. I am new to this site because I just purchased a 2001 mustang GT with 30,000 miles on it. This is a great site lots of great info. Anyway, I live in Maryland where it is currently cold so I didn't think much when I test drove the car and the temp gauge didn't move much. However, I drove it all weekend and love it but as I said the gauge hardly moved. There have been some mods to the car i.e. K&N air filter, flowmasters etc but nothing major. My feeling is that the previous owner put in a 160 degree thermostat. The heat in the car works but is not super hot like it should be but is warm. I would appreciate your input and soggestions. If it is the stat should I replace it with a stock stat or go with the 180 degree thermostat. Thanks for your help.
