terrible day for me

well i was driving to school this morning, and i was crossing an intersection, and i was going about 3 mph, and he hit me at about 40 in a 25.......now i need like a new hood, new fenders, headlights, bumper......idk wut else...i couldnt even get outta the car cause the door wouldnt open, but the doors are ok......sry that the post is kinda sporadic...i am just so frazzled...ive only had my lisence for 3 days and some ******* blindsides me and then blames it on me.......BULL****!!!!
so how much do u guys think it will cost to get new fenders, hood, bumper, lites, and any hardware used.....im doin everything myself.....my dad and i can paint well

Sucks to hear that, I would say in the neighborhood of $500-1000 in parts. I saw a thread yesterday one of the guys has 3 hoods maybe he'll see this and help you out.

sucks to hear though i understand, I had a guy in a rollback truck back into mine at work one day.... Had to pay for that myself, or i would've spent more in courts than what it cost just to fix it.....

o aite, well if its gonna cost the same ima get an RR hood instead used.....i tihnk that jktz13 had a laser red fender or somethin also.....

were you at fault in the accident? If not, his insurance will pay to fix everything on your car. If you were at fault, it still may be cheaper to file a claim if you have collision on the car. Try to get his insurance to pay first. No sense fixing it yourself if his company will pay for it.

thanks so much guys...ive been kinda frazzled all day thats why i ahvent replied......my dad seems to think that gettin a whole nose of of one car might be cheaper and easier than buying all the parts separately, although im not too sure i agree.....what do you guys think.....i need a hood, fenders, front bumper, headlights, the mouting piece that goes across the front that the lites bolt into, and a few little things.....gimme some opinions.....thanks guys and i really appreciate all the support.....anyone got any cheap hoods, or front bumpers that arent stock lying around?? like hmmmmmmm..........a cobra rr hood, and a cobra front bumper???

nj is actually a no fault state, so legally its none of our faults, but it was really both of our faults....i had a bad blind spot, and i was inching forward very carefully to look aorund the car next to me, but the guy that slammed into me was going way too fash, talking on teh cell phone (illegal in nj), and was just an overall *******....so i guess i learned from this, and i was partly my fault..........

So each pays his own? If thats the case, save some cash and get what you want. Aftermarket hood and front bumper and fascia will be cheaper than factory replacements. If youreplanning to use aftermarket stock pieces, why not upgrade? Thats what I did when some F U C K hit my front end. Cobra R hood and fresh paint.
