I have been reading about a settlement with the TFI modules. If your car has under 100k on it and it breaks, it will be replaced for free. Are there any other catches?
A year or two ago I got a letter in the mail about this. The case hadn't been settled at the time. Kind of forgot about it until now. My car is having problems with holding idle and I think it may have something to do with this. Anyway, remembering this letter, I looked it up on Yahoo to see if this case was ever settled. Here is what I found:
i also received that letter 3-4 years ago.you had to fill out the form that came with it and send in a receipt for what it cost for parts and labor.i didnt have a problem and still havent.i just read it and threw it away.
I recieved the paper I filed I even replaced my TFI sent them the receipt and a year later was told I didnt qualify go figure. Its a bunch of BS if you ask me. My car at teh time only had 75000 miles too
