None of the parts stores seem to have tfi modules or even know what I'm talking about when they punch in their computer. I google tfi 95 mustang and I see em from mail order places, jegs etc. Is there another name for it that the parts store people might be able to look up?

If your TFI is bad, get one from ford or you will be doing it again in 6 months.

or Ignition Module

And i agree...OEM ford modules are much better than aftermarket. I'd trust a junkyard TFI over a new chinese made one

The tabs on the Jegs module I ordered were too wide. I filed them so it would plug in, then it barely ran. I now have a Borg module in the hatch and the original, OEM Ford ignition module under the hood .

You can get Ford Motorcraft TFI's from RockAuto for $69. Look under Ignition Control Module.

My TFI is still originally as well. Only about 96K miles on it, but 26 years old and still going fine.

I'm not seeing any parts houses "asking" if its manual or auto.
