Thanks to Jose for the "little" help today.

When removing the center radio/AC bezel to install my white AC decal, a couple of the bezel tabs that hold the a/c vents on the the bezel snapped (Sunday) Therefore, when I put the assembly back in the dash, the 2 vents would fall backwards and not stay stuck to the bezel.

(FYI...when removing this, you need to remove the shifter bezel first so the top portions slides out)

I had "lifted" it up over the shifter bezel, which is why the tabs snapped. Anyway, I he looked at it with me, and instead of going to a junkyard to buy another one, we decide to alternate beads of silicon and plastic epoxy and "glue" the face of the 2 vents back to the bezel. IN 15 minutes, the resin hardened, and we set it back in place. Everything worked fine. Now that I know this can be removed so easily, Im gonna take it off in a couple of weeks and paint it.

Thanks

BTW...That center A/C / Radio bezel even at 5.0 Resto is like $150!! It is available ONLY as a FORD OE part..not aftermarket.

Ernie and Zach,
What do you want to see pics of, the white decal??

To NOT break it:

Remove the shifter bezel, so that when the TQ screws are out of the upper bezel, you can just "slide" it out straight towards you. I lifted up on the top bezel to remove it and that contributed....ALSO, remove it as tho the A/C vents are "PART" of the bezel...I tried to remove the bezel from "around" the vents.

What gets me now is that everyone is saying how easy this is/was, but when I put the post last month on how to remove the bezel, my replies were like:

"take the tq screws out"
"remove the radio"
"I think there's a tab in there to press"

Nobody ever warned me about the "sensitivity" of those little plastic party thingies.

BTW..there are THREE tq screws to remove..one is back deep in there and a big PITA...That also broke on mine!

ANyway, Nothing big that the epoxy couldnt fix.
Thanks
RC

IT's not THAT exciting looking..just a little more sporty. Gotta do the white faced gauges, but I have heard of guys screwing up the needles and instruments doing this, so I dont know if Im ready to remove it.
