Well, I fired up the 408 for the first time. First try, I realized I was an idiot since I put the fuel pressure guage where the adjustment screw goes ( I misread the instructions), so I fixed that, then there was a hole in the heater pipe, which sprayed coolant everywhere. AFter getting that fixed I was able to break it in, and I must say that it runs like a raped ape.

I just wanted to thank you all here on stangnet, i've spent many hours pouring over old threads. This is my first engine build, engine swap, transmission swap, clutch install, and everything as of 500 miles is going great. I don't even have the dreaded vibe at 95 mph. The information provided here by you guys has been invaluable. Thanks.

Congratulations! Eugene, that's a very appealing list of components in your sig - I'm sure you'll be enjoying the fruits of your hard work for many happy miles!

They don't make a trickflow street intake for a 351block

You either have the R manifold or the R box manifold.

Who spec'd the cam? Looks like you're giving those 30 # injectors a work out. MIne are close to being maxed out at stock fuel pressure and I only have a little 347

True, they don't make a street intake for 351's, but I just bought the lower intake by itself, then later on I bought the upper, street manifold by itself. If the street upper doesn't match the R lower, then I must be totally confused.

I thought the 30 lb injectors would be enough for an NA application...I just used a chart that I read somewhere that 30 lb injectors would be good for up to 500 hp. I don't have the specs for the cam with me right now, but its a fairly mild cam according to the guy who put my combo together. I think its something like .512 lift.

The street upper should bolt to the R lower but the R ports are much bigger. I used to have a street heat on my 302. Now I have an R on my stroker.

Well that deserves a long, concerned "hmmmm......." since the ports actually did match up. I guess its not a street intake after all...which is a good thing I guess.
