cranston ri
since im doing the 5.0 swap, well, the right way, and the stock tach and stuff wont work anyway, plus aftermarket is more accurate anyway i decided to make my own cluster. i had some sheet aluminum lying around, so i made templates and cut out not only the cluster, but ac vent deletes (has ac delete) an aftermarket sterio bezel/mount, and an ashtray door. (to replace the missing one) i then drilled the guage holes with hole saws, and modified the stock speedo to match the aftermarket guages. i also decided to stick a sn-95 style pony into the center vent. all the pieces were buffed with an abrasive wheel on a dremel for a brushed look, then clearcoated and wet sanded/buffed to make smooth as glass and protect it.

heres the pics.. (sorry for the poor quality, and the fingerprints on the speedo plexi-glass and stuff) what do you all think?

thanks. ive been thinking that. trying to decide if i liked it or not. im trying to keep it kinda clean. thanks for the nice comments so far guys. because i am only 17 ppl dont think i can do this sort of thing.. thats why i would rather take pics then talk about it ya kno?

Maybe some small speakers and custom speaker grills for the vent openings.

--also--

A Pony engraved piece of billet aluminum might look good as a replacement for the Pony emblem.

Otherwise, I like it. That gauge cluster you made looks sharp. Def need a 140 speedo though.
