The Front Dropped more with Sportlines?

I've had the Sportlines on my car for about 2 weeks now, and the front end is substantially higher than the back end. This seems kind of odd to me, given that the fronts were supposed to be 2.0" and the back 1.8". I didn't think they would fit like this, but is it possible that the back and front springs are in the wrong places? If not, would cutting some of the front coils be a bad idea to even it out a little more?

Let the springs settle first, give it a few more weeks of driving

the front is suppose to have more of the drop that the rear, If the springs were on the wrong perches (front, back) you'd notice an extremely crappy ride

did you change the springs yourself?

No, I had a pretty knowledgeable friend do it, and he said that the back springs wouldn't have fit up front anyway. The ride doesn't seem all that bad either, just a little bit stiffer with the springs and bilstein shocks.

And oh yeah in my 2nd post I meant to say 2" in the front and 1.8" in the rear...

The front dropped more than the rear and you want to cut the front coils? I assume you meant cut the rear coils to even it out.

It gives it a raked stance, nothing wrong with that. Most probably your back will begin to sag down a bit over the next couple of weeks.

Keep it raked, why wouldnt you want the front to sit a bit lower, its a nice look.

There is a general misunderstanding going around here, and it's my fault for it too. I am no getting the "raked stance" that I thought I would be getting, and that many of you are picturing. The front is sitting HIGHER than the back, it's rather tacky. I edited the first post so it would make more sense. The title should also read, "The BACK dropped more with sportlines?"

And were you sure to make sure that the pigtails all face the way there were in stock?

Pretty sure all of the isolators are on, and I'd have to ask about what direction the springs are facing. Could the springs facing the wrong direction really cause such a big deviation? It's not like the front is 2 inches higher or anything absurd like that, but it is pretty noticeable that the back is dropped more.

Thats just the springs dude....I've been tryin to warn everyone about eibach sportlines because they did the same thing on my car and others. I had the same problem. They suck cuz they lower the back more. With a full tank of gass the back sits very noticebly lower and the front sits too high. It bugged the hell outta me for the longest time.

You have 3 main options:
1) Take out both front spring isolators
2) Get some adjustable Lower Control Arms in back (you can set them high and raise the back up to 2" they claim....and also get some better tracion because of them)
3) Buy some new springs for the rear.

I bought roush springs for the rear of mine because my sportlines sat so low, and then it STILL sat about even. and with a full tank of gas it still sat a lil lower in back. I finally decided to take out both front isolators and i am really happy with the result. i have pics if you want to see examples.

Pics would be great. Did taking out the isolators make the ride noticably harsher, and would as I mentioned earlier cutting the coils slightly be an "ok" alternative?

nope. i noticed absolutely no difference in ride quality all. Sportlines are already so stiff that there is no difference without the isolators. Dont listen to the others who keep saying there is a huge difference. i honesltly couldnt tell they were gone.



this is with all sportline springs in. notice how the rear is lower than the front?...

Then i took out the front isolators and it dropped it about 1/2" or maybe a tiny bit more....
..... keep in mind i do have roush springs in the rear, but they only sit 1/2" higher or so than the sportlines.

Wow it's uncanncy how similar our cars look. Same rims and looks like the same tires, and that stupid higher front end! It looks like removing the isolators really did the trick for you. Seems like it's worth trying, except that I don't have a bottom isolator so I may not get the same drop. And as I asked earlier...if that doesn't lower it enough would it be okay to cut off 1/2 of a coil?
