The intercooler is now functional.


The running of a low 14 Sec 1/4 Mile will now commence.

Best et Before hood: 14.87@90.5

Will make first run with functional intercooler, 20PSI of boost and adjusted fuel pressure soon.

Thanks to all here on the 2.3L Turbo forums for the help while I helped put this car together for my bud. I'm a 5.0L stanger myself, but that's pretty impressive for a 4-banger.

I assume you installed the TC duct work under the hood as well?

man, thats bad ass to have the TC duct work in there. I was planning on redoing the hood at some point, and I will have to keep that in mind.
BTW, where in Kansas are you? I live in lawrence, but I am in KC most weekends. A bunch of us kansas 2.3 stangers are going to go to an auto-x at the very beginning of may. We will post about it eventually.

Do you have a pic of the underside of the hood after the install? I'd be interested to see how it hooks up tot the IC.

basically, just picture the TC duct work under the hood, that's how it looks. I'll get a pic next time i have it in the shop. I live in Great Bend. I'm actually really interested in running him with my 5.0L coupe. Since the intercooler has been opened it runs a lot better. he did 14.87 without it. It's like a whole new car now, get's one hell of a 3rd gear bark. I will post the results after we run it soon, will probably have some vids also.
