taken as I walked up the row, Quite a few Beautiful cars there this year. Next year my Mach WILL be there if I get the paint done or not!

This little guy should have been in with his brothers . It was in the lot on Clay street where we parked.

Wow, what a fun weekend. Walking around, Mike, Scott and Myself came across more II parts than we ever have. Think the tides are changing? Let's hope so. Anyway, we had a better spot on the field and got alot more exposure I feel. Tons of good comments. The most common being " I had one of these or ,I knew someone who had one just like this" I still got alot of " is this a 74?" Anyway I got talked into taking my car out to South Mountain dragway friday night. While I had a blast, and everyone loved my car, I do not want to run in that kind of heat again. A hot and muggy weekend, but still a good time. Some new II's and some missing II's, but still a good showing ( 15 total on sat. I think) Brian Achey purchased a black/gold cobra II from the car corral friday night ( nice). While there were talks of re aquiring my cobra clone, that did not pan out. If anyone is interested in purchasing my cobra, you can e-mail me, or post here. I am ready for a new project. What can I say, I am a builder I just like the challenge.

We had a great time. It didn't need to be so hot though. It was just too hot to do much walking around and look through the parts like usual. Got to see and meet some new people. Did we talk and I just didn’t realize it? I'm sorry if that’s the case. If not shame on you for not coming in and kicking me out of my chair! LOL

It was a great weekend in all. I managed to take 3rd place in a tough group of really nice cars. I even got a bonus getting a "Celebrity Pick" by a Gentleman from FORD Motor Co.

The Orange King took 1st place and Dave Wilson's Black and Gold Cobra II with the Shaker took 2nd.

Also Gord Gow with the Black and Gold Cobra II with the scales painted in it got a "Celebrity Pick" well from another person from Ford Motor Co.

I did in fact buy a black and gold CBII (10th picture down). Nice to see everyone again. Got a TON of positive feedback from folks walking around. I've already started gathering pieces and parts, and exploring all options for the car.

I'm glad you took a pic of that black cobra "Attutude"! I loved his paint! I just didn't have my camera at the time I saw him. Very nice!!

Partially shame on me- The day turned into a disappointment as my shortest stay at a Carlisle show. Usually go with my brother and make a whole day out of it, but he couldn't go this year so the parents volunteered to go along. After the ride out my dad started feeling sick with as hot as it was after walking through the classic stangs first(for mom's sake) He headed back to the car for the AC while I headed to the II's with mom to snap some pics before leaving so I really didn't get the chance to really look anyone up. What really got me disappointed though was there wasn't a single Mach 1 that made it for the reunion... I wanted to bring mine out, but due to work I couldn't (couldn't get the time off)

Congrats on placing, it seems like the little Orange King owns the class though, hasn't it won the last 3-4 years?

Hey I understand. I wasn't doing nearly as much moving around myself this year.


No, I believe he's placed the last several years but last year the dark blue King that is kind of painted like a regular early Cobra II with the stripe under the hood took 1st place.

I still would like to see them split the class to stock and modified. Instead of just one class. Hell there were no less then 5 classes for 1999-2004 mustangs! I went to the carsatcarlisle.com website and filled out a survey mentioning that.

I was trying to see if they had the pics of the class winners up yet last night and filled out the same survey and mentioned that as well. What is probably holding that idea back is there haven't been that many cars at the show to convince them that the class needs to be split( either that or just the general disrespect we usually get - no parts, etc) It would be nice to see a lot more cars on the show field, kind of like the one out in the lot on Clay street on Saturday. I know I will have mine there next year regardless of what progress I have made ( or lack there of) in the meantime.


I do have a pic on my cardomain site showing the orange king with a first place plaque in 2004- that was had me thinking ...

The IIs all look great. There is a couple of nicely modified header panels on the Cobra with the shaker setup and the white Cobra with what looks to be with no rear spoiler. I would think that the only concern i would have as an owner is the proximity of the cars to one another. It looks as though if you step back to look along the side of a car, you would be into the car beside it. These cars are much too nice to risk damaging those paint jobs. /paul
