Well as most of you readers on the site may know, i have waited (very patiently i might add) a total of 8 or so months for a gt already. I made a visit to the dealer today, with my father, and they said expect another 4+months because of the 18 in fanblade wheels. and i was like ohhh hell nahh you did not! and so the bickering incessantly sprouted untill we were continuing the conversation onto the lot when we stumbled across a gt that pretty much much matched my order besides for the wheels. my jaw dropped, because i knew that 06gt4me had sent me a message saying that there was a gt on the lot and Santa margarita ford denied that outright., So yada yada yada you all dont care, but the moral of the story was that i got my gt, now it may not be the order that i placed. but i love the bullet rims on a tungsten just as much as teh fanblades.. saved me a couple hundred dollars too! so i hope i can finally get some smiley faced banannas that i have waited so long to see for myself. and i would like to add that i have never enjoyed being in, around, or just near a car. it has such a personal feeling that is completly indescribable.

so heck yes. i have a gt

Sanctus,

I give you credit. I would have already broken down like a junkie and went to a dealership. That's why I had the 05 in November of 04. :) Congratulations! You do indeed have patience my friend.

Awesome news

Si,
Been off the forum for a bit and just saw your post...

Brother... glad I thought of you when they called me out of the blue... I think that's wack that they call someone who not only didn't order one from them, but don't call the folks like yourself who did order one. Esp. as the car was very close to what you ordered. Glad you were able to grab it up.

Anyways- great to hear your wait is over. Hope to see you around RSM. Drive safe... It's a whole lotta car.

Here's some nanas!

Congratulations you lucky turkey! lol I've been waiting at least that long and have yet to buy. May opt for a V6, but having a GT would sure be nice. Have fun!!

well to be quite honest, the cars feel completly different, i know, i have a gt and my dads got a v6 convert, and at first you think that the gt gearbox is alittle rougher, but then you realize how much fun it is to have power in each gear. IN the v6 4th and 5th are almost overdrive gears that have no power able to be distributed to them. so i would have to say the gt was worth the wait, it just depends on how long that wait is. haha for me i got lucky, i would be waiting another 4+months right now if i hadnt had this one pop in.

NOw whos with me? ok so the new m3 had a 6month waiting list to order and recieve one. most ferrari's have a couple month waiting time. FOrd, cant even built the types of mustangs they have ordered in the system. I think the chief/Vp of management needs to get the axe. It is pathetic, they have a car that hundreds of thousands of people love, and they cant build the specific options on the car fast enough, not even nearly! whoever predicted those percentages of what types of mustangs wre going to be built.. needs to be shot. because thats pathetic. did he honestly not see in the future the gt being on a waiting list and the v6's sitting on the lot???? ohh well.. its a great car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!hahha i love my mustang!!!!
