Anyone know what that taped up plug on that wiring harness is for? I am putting in a power seat track.

Power lumbar hookup?

It would need power from somewhere off the power track

That is the cleanest OEM fox seat I've ever seen. Most of the seats I see have rusted up tracks and yellow foam

I figured it out. Just needed to look at it for a second. It hooked into the harness coming in from the floor. Got it all hooked up. It works. I think the motors are a little weak or I’m too fat cause they hardly move when I’m sitting in it. I definitely sit better in it.

The foam has been replaced in it, that’s why it looks so nice. As for the tracks, they are very nice. I don’t know if the are reproductions or if they even make them but they didn’t even appear dirty.

Under the seat is super clean, not sure if it’s original but it looks it. Don’t know if you can see the shiny peaking through in a hole where the front mount is for the seat, but it’s got dynamat under there!

I feel like I can sit lower, which is what I wanted due to the foam being new and harder, caused me to sit high in it.

Anyone know if the power seat tracks had covers for the bolts like the manual tracks did? Can’t find any on LMR or eBay

Since it appears the track is the same 92-98, I wonder if 94-98 covers would work.

That door still plate has been changed out as well. Nice touch though, but not original

Edit: looks like the 94-98 seat tracks use the same covers as the fox cars

Then I would think any covers from 87-93 would fit.

This is the front of the seat. No where for the cover to mount to. It’s hard to see in the pic but on the sides of the mount there are elongated holes that look like they could be holes for covers.

They look different from manual tracks, I'd have to run out to the garage to compare, I think I still have the non working power track from my old vert
Be right back

Find a cover that's large enough for the foot and fab your own retainer. you can install it under the bolt.

Ok, I'm back.
The seat frame I found is power adjust with tilt, I remember getting one from a tbird thinking I could adapt or use parts to fix mine so that one I found may be the tbird one, don't remember a tilt option on stangs. So I dug around and found bolt covers for a manual seat and the push pin hole is on the top, you may be able to drill a hole in the side for the pin, just a thought.

The PO restored the tracks by the way. He said they were pretty clean, but he blasted them and painted them anyway while he had the seats out.

Funny he just texted me last night to ask how things are with the Cobra and wanted to see a pic. I asked him if he had any pics of his other Fox’s with power seats for the covers, he said they do have specific covers and he will shoot a pic for me once he finds them. The covers I have are super nice and original, just won’t work for power tracks.

I actually put in power seats from a 93 cobra in my 90 LX. The covers are a funky plastic piece that covers the entire front all the way to the rear bolt on the outside facing door. If you find my old progress post I may have some pics. Or can try and dig them up.

I think I have that piece on, there should be something that covers the mounts on the bottom, I would think.
