The Journey To Find A Fox. Found A Cobra Instead.

Moates Quarter Horse is another system that can be used to tune a mustang. There's a guy named Willy Lynch that builds awesome tunes with them at dirtydirtyracing.com . They have a store and have a Dyno in house ( in VA ). He'll preload tunes and tune over the internet.

I was going to go QH before I bought my MSPNP2. I chose the Megasquirt because of the ability to tune and run just about anything. The quarter horse plugs into the factory computer and has a few selectable tunes but is nowhere near as flexible as MS.

Moates Quarter Horse is still a decent tuning system for fox cars and way cheaper than MS. There's a learning curve with all of them.

I run a turbo 331 but like the idea of being able to run anything from a Honda to a Viper with the same system and control nitrous, boost, launch control, and some people are experimenting with traction control.

So I've been watching this lx notch on eBay. Do notches typically fetch this much (so far)? I am shocked by the bids, but again I know nothing about how much they go for. Sure is a beautiful car, definitely would keep it original.

I do, however, have someone that's going to be looking at my current Mustang this weekend. I'm not too flexible with my price after seeing what others are going for these days..

That's a very nice LX.
I hope he gets his asking price
Id say no,..that's not the norm. When you look into the bid history, one guy has single handidly driven up the bid price 5,000 over 6 bids,..sometimes bidding against himself where he drove the price up from 12k to 15k all by his lonesome.
Looks a little suspect to me.

191k miles?

It's nice but I wouldn't pay $8k for a car with almost 200k. You can bolt all the new parts you want to it but that body is probably looser than....well it's loose

What do you mean by loose?

I've reached out to the guy several times and no luck. He answered my email saying to text, but no joy. Just wanted to know how the paint is and how "immaculate" the underside is. I do like a clean underside.

In other news..
It really grinds my gears when an ad for a Mustang has the word Posi in it... almost makes me not want to read or look at the car..

Hey, Tubbster66, Where are you located? I have a roller chassis (no engine or tranny) that I will let go CHEAP. I bought a running car to get the engine and trans for a 66 transplant. I have everything that came off the car except the engine and trans. I am in central Texas. The car is in really good condition. Only one slight dent and scratch on driver's front fender. Rest of car is clean and straight. contact me at [email protected], if interested.

I am guilty of doing this myself on Ebay about 12+ years ago when I was selling a surfboard that was going way too low (with no reserve). I called in a favor from a friend to bid on it at price that I wanted for the item and it worked, somebody beat that bid and I got what I wanted in the end.

This is not to be confused with setting a maximum bid which automatically will outbid others if they bid lower than your maximum bid. Ebay will continue to outbid others by an "x" amount until you've either won the auction or somebody outbid your maximum amount.

Gotta love Craigslist flakes. Got cancelled on again, second weekend in a row from the same guy that is "really" interested in my 66. Told him I'm done rescheduling.
That sucks to hear. I've encountered a flew flakes in my time on Craigslist and it's always upsetting. I've bought and sold hundreds of times on CL and mostly have a positive experience overall. Keep on trying, don't let them get you down.
