One area of concern that I see and it’s probably my fault. I can just feel this wit my finger nail. Should I be concerned at all? Doesn’t go all the way into the inside.

So I’m pretty sure this has been blasted before judging by the looks of the casting plugs.
I’m also wondering if this is powder coating. Anytime I try to pull a loose piece of paint, I can almost lift the intake just by the paint. I tried hitting the other areas with another 2 rounds of citrustrip and no luck. I’ve tried a wire brush and it hardly makes a dent in the deeper areas. I may just get it blasted in the areas that are left and see if I can close up all the holes before they blast, but I’m sure that stuff gets everywhere.

You can try the aircraft stripper. A little more aggressive, but it's nasty stuff. You'll want to do it outside and stand upwind
