It was like a freeze frame, doin 50 on a two lane though the woods and like a strobe flash I broadside a deer.
Like smashing into a small brick wall, I hit the brakes almost intantaneously...airbags blast off filling my car with white noxious dust..horn goes off and stays on ..I am choking and roll the car over to side of road wanting to jump out to get air but am worried about getting clipped by other traffic...I put down the windows ,stick my head out and start driving till the car airs out . I fumble with air bag and get horn to shut off. Felt like something was melting in the steering wheel.Very hot.
Get the Cobra home to find a hairy dented front end .
Take it to the shop today to get it set up for fixin.

I nudged a deer once. Luckily, the car didn't receive any damage outside of some slight spider webbing in the bumper. I remember pulling deer hair out of the body panel seams. Its too bad you weren't as lucky. Good to hear you're on top of fixing the car!

Sorry to hear that man. I know how it feels though. I was driving an old crown vic that my parents owned and I hit probably an 80 pounder doing 45ish. Messed up the whole front end, but didn't cause any frame damage so I tore it down and rebuilt it. Fortunately, I was driving it because my Lex was in the shop for something and my parents didn't care much since it was a beater anyway. Stinking deer.

Where I live I have to drive about 4 miles through a real wooded area either way I take, the speed limit is 50 and I truthfully only go about 35-40 tops because I see deer almost every day and I am entirely too paranoid that I am going to hit one some day, I have had to stomp the brakes a few times to avoid the ignorant creatures many times, it kinda sucks because I see people running at least 65 through there an they never hit ****- but then here I come running well below the speed limit and the first deer I see has to cross in front of me At least you didn't freak out and slam it in to a ditch though.

The plural of deer is deer, not deers. But yeah, that would solve the problem right there. My cousin had a brand new GT and on her way home nailed one and trashed the front end. These things just need to stop the games they play in traffic....lol

Collision Shop report. Mustang Chef

First off let me say that if this were not a Cobra they would have written it as a Total.

It seems these old Cobras are starting to appreciate, so if you have one ,keep it looking and running good.

The air bags went off;passenger bag broke the dash.$$$$$
Front bumper cover needs to be replaced.
Hood needs to be replaced
Head lights toast
Plastic bracket behind bumper..busted

It seems the repairs come in just below the worth of the car, so they are gonna fix it.I have AAA. 50 dollar deductible,
This was scary thinkin somebody was gonna cash out my car and I would be forced to go out and buy like a Focus or something{ I like the Focus] but the thought of
THe Focus Chef..scares the bejeezez out of me.

Ya this would have to happen when gas prices just went so low. Goes into the shop Tuesday.. I am gonna drive my 62 Chev pick up...See Stir Fry Vietnam.:SNSign::SNSign:
