I know I will probably get flamed for starting this thread before having pictures, but I'm excited about them. Sorry.

I hope to put them on tonight, but it will be dark by then, so pics might have to wait till tomorrow. I will post up some before and after pics asap.

To review, they are HOT WHEELS "68" wheels, 17x9 with 245/45/17 Falken 452 tires, and they cost me $793 all together, mounted, balanced, and shipped.

the passenger's front wheel looks pushed back ...

there was some oil and coolant on the driveway

the mark on the bumper is where my son hit (and went over) the sign that was in the dirt between the curb and the sidewalk when he went over the curb

i don't know what is wrong with the passenger's wheel, probably bent control arms or something. it is going to the shop on thursday to be looked at

i'll snap some pics of the old wheels and tires and post them for you guys

Sorry not feeling the new wheels at ALL. They look really narrow and set in. I enjoy the side profile a little, but they just need more meat. Those belong on a 60s era stang size wise. I've seen that style in an 18 with some dish/proper offsets and I was just drooling.

Hope you can get the little stuff sorted out.

+1 for trying a different style

Didn't you used to have FR500s? Your car looked sweet then.

well, they were not my first choice, but for the price, they are the best fit. my real desire was deep dish FR500s with 315s in the back. but those wide tires are summer only, and the total price for that package is alot more than i want to spend. and then i am in the same situation that ended up with the car going over the curb (tires that have terrible traction when it is cold out)

for me right now, the main goal is all season tires and a configuration where i can rotate the tires for longevity. i think these serve my purposes very well

You don't need to hear a bunch of crap but If I were keeping the car they would go back. They look cool at first - but then after closer, the rim lips look too wide on the front and the back tires look too skinny. What size are they? Not trying to "tork" u Chris but they look like 225's.

The guy thinks its ok to drive a Mustang in the winter so what do you expect?

Gees Chris why dont you just get some Blizzaks while your at it.

Sarcasm aside, for what you needed (cheap and good in cold) I can understand exactly why you did it, even the smaller tires. If you actually prefered the way this looks over any other wheel/tire setup I would be worried, but you made it clear that DD FR5s w/315s are your favorite so thats all I needed to hear.

Doesnt look bad. I know most people dont care for spacers, but you could throw some 1" hub centric spacers in the rear just to make them a little more flush with the fender. Other than that, I dont think they look bad at all. Nice cost effective recovery.
