The official 2007 NHL thread...

I agree. We have seen Crosby once.... Just once. For a sport looking to gain popularity, Hockey needs to realize that the best players need to be shown to the nation!!! I think we have at least one more season of this nonsense before that is even considered though

On better news... the cup is in So'Cal baby!!! Game starts at 5pm... you know where I will be!

Go Ducks!!!

We rarely see the West over here, and no one cares

Just kidding.

I wanted the Senators to take the Cup but they only showed up to one game.

I watched about 10 Buffalo games this year (My hometown) and from what I saw the west was so much better than the east this year. In our series against Detroit it really was anyone's series. I predicted at the beginning of the season that whatever western conference team came out on top would win the Cup.

Funny story: During the second game there were some Sen's fans in the hall between periods. They were wondering why the top line could not produce any offense... A proud Ducks fan walked by and said "They really are that good...really" The defense in the West was awesome and as a result the offensive lines have been great! We didn't see many 5, 6 or 7 goal games this year for anyone.

Matt

well...the Ducks took the Cup

Yup, and they played like they deserved it. I would've bet that Jiggy would've taken the Smythe; after all it was his playing that got them past Detroit.

Yeah Baby!!!

I am surprised that 27 took the Con smythe... it could have been jiggy, Pahlson, or Getz... the whole team played great and without everyone contributing we couldn't have done it.

How about Pronger separating his shoulder in the first period!!! This team has some guts. Next year is bound to be fun!

We are the first west coast team to win!!! Not bad at all.

I will be at the rally on Saturday! I will report back and tell you how good the So'Cal fans are!

So what do you think of the western conference now?
