The official 2007 NHL thread...

I know that was for me Kev but he had alot more than that, looks like a mod modified what he said to make me look bad.

It's OK - just as long as we all get to talk about hockey!

So looks like getting rid of Rayyyycroft paid off. Thomas seems to be doing well considering he was a late bloomer not to mention lucky to get the opportunity to play.

I still cannot get over the Thorton trade. Not to mention the person who tradded him isin't even there anymore.

Hey guys, did I miss the SKILLS competition tonight or is it after the Young Stars game?

Good question - I am not sure of the scheduling... Let me go look

I think the skills competition is on afterwords: http://www.nhl.com/allstar/2007/index.html

Yup, about a minute after I posted they mentioned the Skills Comp is coming up

i knew chara would win hardest shot, that fugger is so big he can get so much on the shot its like a gun. i'm actually surprised it wasn't harder. seeing the skills competition in person is alot better cause you get to see the speed alot better. i went to the AHL all star game last year and it was cool to see how fast these guys can skate in person when they giver hard

Before the shootout competition, they showed clips of some great shootout goal scoring. One of them was a guy who came in slowly, flipped the puck onto his stick blade, waved it around a few times up and down and back and forth, and then whipped it into the net. Anyone know who that was? Reminds me of my old hockey practices

there have been a couple guys who did that. i remember seeing highlights of crosby when he was in junior and he pulled a move like that from behind the net in a game, it was unreal

It was NHL and this season as far as I know

I didn't catch the clip or I might have been able to help. I miss all of the cool stuff!
