The Official "4-Mod-Fox" progress thread

I have 4cyl springs in my 93. The engine has been out for almost 2 years. it sat like a truck. the suspension will settle. Plus the tires are limiting the amount it will fall. I bet if you push the car around some, and let the tires come to their resting place, it will sit lower...

Anybody has put Eibach 4 cylinder springs on a V8? A friend of mine has a set, and I've been thinking on getting them. But I think they might sit the front of the car too low...

Thanks everybody. I'm not gonna sweat it anymore. All these parts will add up. I'm gonna get all I can get done beside the front brakes and sway bar and if it's not wear I want it, I'll yank them and buy some Steeda's or B springs. 60 dollar difference.

BTW....the car smells like POR15 inside!!!!

Got all the spagetti out of the storage bins. I had to cut two holes in the outside firewall area to get the ECM harness inside and the dash harness.

Also got some other things hooked up and plugged in. Just need to start laying all out and get everything where it needs to be next.

And this crap. Why would anybody install an aftermarket Ford system? These cars already have PATS. I really want to take this out. It's mostly just tapped into other wires. There are a couple wires I'll have to solder back together tho. I should prolly get it running with this thing installed, and go about removing it afterwards, just to be safe.

Lookin good Matt!!!!! The hard work seems to be over no? home stretch!

Thanks bro. It seems so. I can't wait to put down the 3" cut off wheels, the welder, and my thinking cap. The rest should go in like a normal car...til I get to the door wire harness. I'm gonna rewire the mirror switch to the speedo bezel again, and put the SN95 mirror plugs on the fox mirrors and the fox lock actuator plug on the SN95 door harness. LOL...lots of soldering that day. Hopefully it will run within 1-2 weeks. Depends on how much time I get and how much motivation I have.

for what its worth...i had no luck with a spring compressor either. I tried to use it to put in my eibachs (ended up doing it the old fashion/easy way). those things are more trouble than they're worth and i ended up throwing it across the garage about 10 times...

....and then returning it to autozone :D

HAHA....yeah, Coupe, I've got one here for ya. Looks like 30 minutes to get uploaded to PB. PB is a POS now with all their bull**** ads and pop ups.

Anyways. Got the exhaust on, got the oil and filter in, got the tank in, after I POR-15'd the whole thing. Also got the dash wired up and re-installed.

Fluids....didn't get around to installing the radiator or antifreeze yet, or transmission fluid...that's next.

Magna Flow Magna-Packs. One tail pipe is bent, but I'm gonna take care of that when the Cobra bumper gets mocked up.

SHE'S ALIIIIIVVVEEE!!! The car is WAYY TOO LOUD. Magna Flow Magna-Packs are crazy. I am backed up to a wall inside a building, so I'll see how it is outside in a couple months and decide what to change. http://s184.photobucket.com/albums/x258/svt32vdohc/4-Modfox/?action=view&current=MOV00807.flv
