what a horrbile week for football..

Im out of my survivor pool (picked lions).. Gmen lost, saints lost, colts lost...

At least Green Bay won and so did the eagles.. That at least helps the Giants a tiny bit..

Like i said, expectations for my Giants were not high at the beginning of this season, they are doing better then i thought they would do at least. I just hope this doesnt start the downward spiral.. Friggen dejavu from last season .. if they finish up over .500 and make a wildcard and loose i'll be happy....

Regardless of whether it was the right call or not the Patriots benefited from it more, what have the Raiders done since then? If the Raiders had gone on adn won it all whats it matter, look at them now

What does what the Raiders have done since then have anything to do with them getting shafted then?

But yes it did matter. Id say if it comes to the AFC Champ game this year and whoever plays NE gets a bad call in their favor to cause NE to lose, you would think it was a big deal.

The NFL is a one year league, good one year not the next. Happends all the time.

So once again pumping his ego by saying that yeah I threw 6 INT's but Im so f'ing good that we where still in this at the end, Go F yourself and your over inflated ego

No. Not at all. He was saying that they didnt just give up and team morale was still good. Pittsburgh now NO 2 seed but that is meaningless as of right now.

past superbowl winners that have done chit since. . .Baltimore, Tampa Bay, Giants, Redskins, you see what he means. But every decade had has one or two teams that win more.
The sixties had the Packers, Steelers of the seventies, 49ers from the 80's, Cowboys, 49ers of the nities, rams later on,and the Pats in the early 2000s. Its because the NFL has a cap is why teams fall apart.

I am not concerned about it, I just made a joke, you got pissy and I said my piece on it.

Yes there are a few teams who can contend every year, but very few. Indy, NE, Steelers are about the only year in year out top 5 teams.

Of course not, its Brady and Belicheat only. No other good players. They never had the one of best defenses in the leauge year after year, the kicker who won those superbowls for Brady, Corey Dillon and Deon Branch werent too shabby, good TE play. Last year imo was really the only year NE had no offensive weapons other than Maroney.

Pat fans make it out to be that Manning has always had awesome teams and Brady has had crap. Manning has had some good offensive players but junk on D until last post season and this year. They had to have offensive weapons to score 35 a game because they gave up 32.

Brady is great no doubt about it, but get real he had good players all around him too.

I know what he means, its not my problem when a team cant keep its self together either in terms of players or in terms of a team mentality...example..the Chicago Bears.

So the other team let them spot the ball where they wanted and the offense didnt position themselves in a spot where a kick was possible?

Oh come on now, you cant be serious.

I am not questioning Bradys importance, he is awesome. 3 time SB winner, 2 time MVP, and both he and Manning will probably go down as #1 and #2 QB in the history of the NFL.

But you cant discount that if it was not for Vinatieri they would have 0 titles. He made the winning field goal in each super bowl, he made a winning FG against Oakland. He was just as important as Brady.

How about that awful pass interference call on hobbs that gave indy the ball on the 1 in last years afc title game. That call sucked and maybe NE would have won if they did not call that PI but I got over it. It's part of the game and indy deserved to win that game because they played better in the second half.. Pats had pleanty of chances after that bad call.. same with the raiders in 01

BTW on that tuck rule play woodsons hand hit bradys helmet, that is a penalty so the raiders should have been credited the fumble but lost the ball due to the penalty giving the pats the ball back and a first down.

go watch the video of it and you tell me that that hand did not smack on the helmet, hit it pretty hard too.

Are you seriously giving the credit for three superbowls to a kicker??? I know he is a great kicker but he does not impact a lot of plays. Sure there will be at least one time in a season where the game is on the line but we are talking about a position that is only involved in a handfull of plays a game. I will go as far to say the first superbowl he was huge.. That kick in the snow and a 40+ yarder as time ran out to win it and he made clutch kicks in the other two but those were kicks many other NFL kickers could have made. In fact I can not think of one game in the last few years that I was wishing we had him back. A kicker does not impact the game that much, If any more important aspect of the team sucked in any of those superbowls he would not have had a chance to kick game winning kicks. Great qb, and linemen come way before a great kicker in level of importance on any football team.

I do agree with you that it was not just brady that won three superbowls just like it was not just manning that won the sb last year, you need a balanced all around team to win starting with at least good offensive and defensive lines a good qb

04DarkShadowGT said:
I have nothing against NE or Tom Brady, in fact he is a Big 10 guy so I like him. But I would laugh my ass off it Brady got Carson Palmered just when they are up by 30 points in the 4th quarter and Brady is still playing. I think it would be a slice of humble pie to Belicheat and the fans.

Nice thats really nice... now you really pissed me off with that one. Do you realize how pathetic it is to wish for injuries to other teams players, unlike you when the pats and colts meet in the playoffs I want both teams at full strength so we can see some good football.. and BTW stop with the belicheat crap.... like nobody else in the NFL did what he did.. Every team looks for a edge, hell your own team has been accused of pumping up crowd noise.. Please none of these guys are boy scouts this is why I put a end to this subject in here it's gay and a excuse for frauds to explain away failures of the past against the pats.
