oh and packers we looking good my friend we looking good :)

Never whining just winning :)

Yes your right your packers are surprisingly good this year. good luck to them unless they and the pats go to the SB then I want you to loose :)

I disagree with the kicker comment... a good Kicker is VERY important.. Put it this way, had you not had a good kicker who MADE those field goals all of brady and the pats work would be wasted and they would not have won. So to say he's not important is ahhhhh not really looking at it as a whole. What happened if he missed those fg's and the pats lost??? brady and the pats would not be as great as everyone says they are.. they would be the bills of the early 90's who went to the SB every year and lost.

and your avatar wouldn't be 3 sb rings of the pats.... since you know, the kicker would have missed and they would have lost them all.

Edit: I let my boss read your post about a kicker not being important.. I've never seen someone laugh so hard in his life. He's also a football coach and has been for years. Thats not saying much, just that he knows and understands how important a kicker is to the game. regardless if he's only in "a handful" of plays.

Nice thats really nice... now you really pissed me off with that one. Do you realize how pathetic it is to wish for injuries to other teams players, unlike you when the pats and colts meet in the playoffs I want both teams at full strength so we can see some good football..

Oh Jesus Christ.

He DID NOT SAY that he "wished" Brady would get injured.

He said that while the Patriots were busy running up the score for no reason, Brady could take a cheap shot and end up out for the rest of the season.

BTW Bill Cowher commented on the possibility of a cheap shot to Brady 2 weeks ago and it's true!

Woohooo! Bengals win over Ravens.....even if it was with 7 FG's!

Even though the Ravens have a pretty good defense, it would have been nice to see at least 1 of those red zone posessions turned into a TD.

Im the only one who can say that Redline is on Bradys Sack...... Because I know what Jersey hangs in his Closet as well as he knows who my Fav Colts is (now a bench warmer)

You mean Bruschi's ?

No, i'm pretty sure its quite obvious to everyone in this thread, how far brady's junk is down redlines throat

:)

No Im not. Just giving him his dues, hes the best QB in the NFL right now. If anyone wants to argue that point then I know what your going to say and Brady has thrown 6 TD's in a game this season, not 6 INT's

Btw the whole pumping noise in thing against the Pats two weeks ago, CBS already said it was their deal, they did it. Not Indy.

Not the first time that its been accused of on Indy, but that doesnt matter right? Only matters if its New England and someone said they were recording signals in past games, that matters, but not that Indy has been accused of pumping noise in the RCA dome?

Pot/kettle/Black.

I dont think a hand hitting a helmet is a penalty, if it grasps the face mask yes or it its a helmet to helmet hit or even someone aiming at a head. But a hand on the head is not really a penalty. Besides back in 01 the NFL wasnt nearly as anal about all the QB babying.

Yes I am giving him credit for a HUGE portion of those wins. If you had a ****ty kicker you would have 0 SBs. Dont know how much more important he could be. They werent 20 yard gimies if I remember correctly.

Just ask the Colts about a ****ty kicker when they lost to Pittsburgh when Pitt won it all. A FG would have sent it to OT and the COlts had the momentum and would have had a good shot at winning.

For christs sake, I didnt say I hope he gets hurt. I said I think it would be funny if someone cuts him out because they are running it up. It would serve BELICHEAT right. Yeah I said it BELICHEAT. From this time on I will call him BELICHEAT in caps because it bugs you.

I am not saying he is a good coach, he is awesome, he is the best in the NFL by a wide margin. But you can still win with class, throwing bombs when youre up by 3 or 4 TDs is just silly.

Btw the whole pumping noise in thing against the Pats two weeks ago, CBS already said it was their deal, they did it. Not Indy.

Hitting the helmet with the hand and in this case he also got facemask IS a penalty.

BTW if you want to try and bug me then from this time on I will edit it out of your posts because I can.. :p

Laughing at a serious injury to anybody is lame. I don't care if you think NE is running up the score, they pulled the starters out when they can while keeping players sharp. A colts fan should not talk about anybody running up the score I remember a lot of games back a few years ago when the colts were setting scoring records or leading the league in scoring where they were winning by large margins and still throwing the ball.

Running up the score is not the reason you want to see brady hurt, you want to see him hurt because it will make it easier for the colts to win a potential playoff game this year..

And one final thing about kickers. In the salary cap era you can not place a high level of importance on a kicker, You need to spend those cap dollars on positions that influence more plays and adding depth behind the first string, look what happened to NE last year in the AFC title game when the backup LB's and safeties could not match up.. Sure there will be a few cases you can point to that a bad kick or a great kick changed the outcome of the game, but those games are rare.. The snowbowl was one of those rare games

BUT

At some point you have to make sacrifices and when your faced with a choice of a great kicker or keeping a player that sees a lot more snaps you have to go with the regular players. What NE did was draft a good rookie kicker and let a aging very expensive one go and so far we have not had one game where we lost because of that choice..

NE would not have been in a position for game winning kicks if it was not for the regular position players and the second string role players, those guys come first if they don't play well then your clutch kicker does not have a chance to be clutch.

The first SB I agree with you adam was huge. But it still took last minute clutch drives by the offense to put him there to kick them game winners. In the other two superbowls sure they were 3 point games but in one o them adam missed a fg.

BTW it's not like they have me kicking FG's they still have a effective kicker and he counts for way less under the cap allowing the pats to fit other players in.

I think it's crazy to give credit for three superbowl seasons to a guy that impacts 4-5 plays a game tops. There are many more big plays in any football game that is not as noticeable or dramatic.. Good blocking for example has a huge impact on the game but it's not as dramatic as a game winning FG that may come up a couple of times a year, now if you chose to keep a great kicker instead of a good one and let go a good lineman and his cheap replacement does not make the key blocks how good will your team be then.

Edit: I let my boss read your post about a kicker not being important.. I've never seen someone laugh so hard in his life. He's also a football coach and has been for years. Thats not saying much, just that he knows and understands how important a kicker is to the game. regardless if he's only in "a handful" of plays.

Read post above. There is many more positions that are more important nobody is saying a great kicker is not important at all, but there is other positions that influence a larger portion of the game. Nobody is saying you should go out and get a crappy kicker but when your faced with a choice the pats were and you need the cap room then you take the lineman or linebacker before the kicker.

BTW I could care less what your coach friend laughs at, a much better football coach made this choice , it was not a popular move at the time but once again he was right.

So I will side in with a coach with 5 superbowl rings thats heading to canton you can side in with your coach friend.

I think you guys are taking a very simplistic view on this..

Think about it, the difference between NE,indy and the steelers compared to bad teams like the niners, dolphins, raiders and rams is not the kicker.. but improvements at QB or to the line on both sides of the ball would sure go a long ways toward fixing those bad teams

you can put a great kicker on any of those teams and not a damm thing will change

This is why I think it's silly to credit three superbowls to a kicker, he would not even have gotten there if the pats did not have a great QB, a very good offensive line and a very good defense to put him in the position to shine.

Cowher is right.. A cheap shot is possible in any one sided game plus I think it's really possible this week against buffalo.

I only have one question for you..

Was it running up the score what the steelers did to the ravens?

There are a few differences.

1 - Colts = allegations (AKA not ptoven, infact disproven by CBS)

2 - Pats = Proven

3 - Pats have been accused of also messing with signals of radio systems, have been thought to tape teams for quite some time.

4 - Belichick ( edited) :) was sent a letter before the season to not tape teams this part of this post is misleading.. and he DID IT THE FIRST FREAKIN GAME.

5 - If you cant see the difference between being caught taping and allegedly pumping in crowd noise, then I cant help ya. Its a dome, it has alot of fans, its loud.

1. Nothing was proven beyond taping and the Patriots where accused of other things and nothing was found.

2. Proven, and then cleared by the NFL commissioner so I think they are in the clear now.

3. What team hasnt? Also goes back to proof. Nothing was proved of the Patriots doing that and you want to hang them for it, yet the colts were not proved of pumping up crowd noise but since they were not caught you still think they are saints.

4. Hes got balls.

5. Im sure it is loud but like I said its not an isolated incident. Sure nothing has been proven but nothing was ever proven by the patriots messing with headsets yet you want to make them guilty of that while the Colts are free and in the clear for pumping crowd noise. Your playing both sides of the fence you cant have it both ways.

Whats funny is you and SVT both probably didnt give two ****s about the Patriots until 2001. Typical band wagon fans who talk so much smack when the team is winning but doenst care when the team sucks. Of course I dont know that for sure but probably not too far off.

Thats just an ignorant statement. Blah blah blah. You know what SVT cant say it so I'll say it for both of us

I nor anyone should have to sit here and explain why they like their team or for how long they have liked them. Its just something that everyone in here accepts w/ out question except for the ones who are to stupid to see it.

So Pats fans can having a backup LB and a crappy secondary as a legit reason for last year, but the Colts have 2 LBs, 2 offensive weapons, and the starting LT out against New England and 11 playeds either out before the game or leaving during the game against San Diego, its making excuses and crying.

Basically to put it in your terms you would have Welker and Maroney. No moss, no TE, no Stallworth, missing the RT and LT and 4 or 5 guys out on D.

Hell if you didnt have Moss the Indy and Dallas games may have turned out different. Moss turned both thsoe games around with huge bomb passes.

Btw threatening to edit my posts is lame, sounds like a mod on a power trip to me. I thought mods were supposed to be above all the petty stuff and keep a cool head. Guess not when someone is saying something negative about belichick ( edited again :) ), Brady, or the beloved Patriots.

Whats funny is you and SVT both probably didnt give two ****s about the Patriots until 2001. Typical band wagon fans who talk so much smack when the team is winning but doenst care when the team sucks. Of course I dont know that for sure but probably not too far off.

I won't edit your posts if you stop trying to be a dick. I fail to see how I have been on a power trip, sure I banned kid for one day but I did the right thing because I was personally involved and asked tim to look it over..me and him agreed to let kid back in after he clearly broke a rule.

Me and kid are ok now I have no issue with him. If I wanted to be a ass I could have insisted he stayed banned for a week or more instead of letting tim know before he looked the thread over that I thought kid to be a good guy who made a mistake and that if he agreed I would not object to letting him back early.. So where am I on a power trip?? On that case I did exactly what i was supposed to do I went and grabbed a admin that was totally not involved and asked him to look it over.

:rlaugh: Who is making excesses??? If you took the time to read what I said I was trying to make a point about how you need to fill many roles on your team including capable backups and I was trying to make a point on how thats more important than having a high priced kicker.. Since injuries are part of the game what separates SB winning teams from ones that go home can be those off the bench role players.. If the pats had better backup LB's and safeties then they might have not got torched. Thats not a excuse injuries and fatigue are part of the game thats why there is backups they have to play and good teams have better backups than bad teams. It's not just the stars that win games. Hell this can be good for the colts in the long run.. They will now get a chance to get valuable game time for backup and they will improve and the ones the don't they can weed out.

LOL NE won a SB after ty law was out for the year, guess what randal gay was huge in his place after a few weeks he became a decent corner... Seymour missed a bunch of playoff games and other defensive linemen like green came up big... Injuries happen thats why you need plan b,c, and d.. nobody is 100 percent come playoff time. One silver lining for the colts in this is that the playoffs is a few month away they have time to get guys back and iron things out so I would not worry about them if I was you.

Same can be said for the colts. Once freeney and mathis was gassed and a few of there other key defensive players got hurt or gassed they were nowhere near as effective in the game 2 weeks ago. maybe if they had better backups at those positions instead of a high cap dollar kicker they might have won.

Thats my point.. I really don't need to make excuses for last year, pats have 3 superbowls and you have one sure it's the most recent one and that is great for you guys and I gave your team a ton of credit for winning it last year.

BTW how do you know when me or redline started caring about the pats.. Thats another lame ass comment from somebody that can't hang in a factual argument.

I can't speak for redline but i remember the Mcphearson and rust years, the embarrassing "patriot missle" bull**** and how we almost lost our team to st. louis before kraft bought the team.. The TV blackouts were the worst back then.

Thats just an ignorant statement. Blah blah blah. You know what SVT cant say it so I'll say it for both of us

I had to edit your post.. I agree with the rest of your post but I have to remove that.

Heated arguments are ok but lets not get personal on either side.

Hmmm let's see...

Steelers scored all their points aside from one field goal in the first half.

So no.

Ok then how is that any different than the pats game against the dolphins..

NE scored only a few points in the second half and the dolphins started to come back against the 2nd and 3rd team pats backups so NE put some of the regulars back in to stop the bleeding before it got to be a close game.. they called conservative plays and the dolphins did a good job of not giving up anymore points.

And how was it running it up in the redskins game. Is it our fault they suck so bad that they can't stop matt cassel the pats back up QB from scoring on a 15 yard run.. Atleast they had a chance to stop a waste play like that, maybe belichick should have kicked a sure 3 point field goal instead of giving the redskins a chance to stop the pats from scoring and getting a turnover on downs.

same thing in the dallas game.. If you call timeouts so NE can't kneel on the ball and then our 4th string rb runs the ball in from 10 yards out then you deserve it. Don't call the time out.. or maybe belichick should have tacked on a sure 3 points instead of giving the cowboys a chance to stop the play and get a turnover on downs.

Pittsburgh did not throw the ball hardly at all in the second half. Did not try to convert any fourth downs, and the defense didn't let Baltimore back in it
