WOW now we are comparing big ben to brady...

I am not trying to be a dick but if you can not see that brady is heads and shoulders better than all but one of current NFL qb's and equal to the other one that then your blind and there is nothing I can say to change your mind.

But I am still going to show how your logic is flawed.

You talk about how Brady and Rothlisburger (sp?) has been placed in situations that enable them to succeed but you left a giant glaring hole in your logic

MANNING

I noticed you failed to mention your boy when talking about great situations to be placed in. Once you did that you lost all credibility.

Manning has had a tremendously talented offense around him just about his entire career and brady has had a good solid overall team around him.. Much of the reason the patriots won three superbowls is because brady played his best in the post season.. He did not turn the ball over and had his biggest games in those years when it mattered the most.. I don't think many other QB's could do that.. In fact in NFL history only a few has played as well as brady has in the post season.. Guys like Starr and Montana come to mind.. I highly doubt many other qb's in the game today can match that, and a few of them has had the chance too. ( Farve, McNabb and others)

Both of them are better off where they are than they would be if they played for arizona or someplace like that, but both of them are the main reasons the teams they play for have been as good as they are.

BTW in 2005 and 2002 brady had terrible defenses and the same sub-par weapons and still put up pro bowl numbers.

SO let me get you point clear..

Brady is not that good and must be overrated according to you since just about everybody considers him to be the best or second best QB in the NFL.. According to you he has just been placed in a good situation, and they could have won with many other QB's In fact you mention him in the same breath as big ben, That I find humorous.

Is that your point? That Brady is overrated... You keep pointing out how he has great coaching and great players around him.. HHHMMM really why don't you up belichicks record before and after brady???

See the difference between me and you is I can take my homer goggles off for a minute and see other great players in the league. I don't knock down other players to try and make my binky look better.

So what is it.. Are you a extreme homer and that makes you blind or do you not know enough about the game to see some of the great things brady can and has done that most QB's in the history of the game can't that makes this patriots team what it has been.

I can point out exactly what makes brady and manning heads and shoulders above the rest, to me it's as obvious as the sun coming up tomorrow. I just don't get how you don't see it.

BTW Bledsoe was 5 years past prime HUH??? he was 29 when he got injured and replaced.. So what was his prime???? 23 years old

+1 I agree 100% not b/c your a patritos fan but b/c it actually makes sense. Something that many people are lacking before they hit the submit button.

Earlier in this thread we were talking about a 4th year qb (eli) getting better with time. By his forth year brady was a 2 time SB MVP

Oh come on we all know that if Eli was on the patriots they would have 3 superbowl rings and be 5-0 this season b/c you can put any QB in that offense and they would be just as good

Eli is just on the installment plan. Brady had MVP and superbowl rings in 4 years, Eli is just as good hes just on the installment plan, Im sure by his 10th season he'll have one or two play off wins under his belt. No SB wins, no Confrence championships, just wild card play off wins. Hes just taking his time, I mean come on whats the hurry hes just as good as Brady right?

Manning has better throwing power, accuracy and football IQ. Brady has a bigger heart when it comes to winning games. I would take a little more heart more than a little more talent anyday.

I agree with you on the throwing power and accuracy but I think brady holds the advantage in football iq.. Manning throws a excellent ball, is excellent on PA and reads a defense better than everybody except brady.. Overall They are so close I would be happy with either of them on my team... I am lucky that my team has one of them.

But anyways good post. I am happy to see a fan of a rival that can say good things about brady.

Oh no here we go

I was reading the comments and something crossed my mind. Some said Dallas should be 4-1 and others said that all good teams can come from behind and win.

1. Did Dallas win b/c they are a great team and can come back from adversity and find a way to win.

2. They were only able to come back b/c they were playing a team like buffalo, buffalo snapped defeat from the jaws of victory?

What do you think?

Personally whether Dallas is 4-1 or 5-0 its still going to be a great game on Sunday.

I think that Dallas will be proven this week.

1. IF IF IF they manage to beat the Pats then they are the real deal

2. WHEN the NFC will be proven to be WEAK as usual

3. TO and Romo are good I give that but they dont have the Synergy that the Pats have. The Pats have the arsonel and the momentum over Dallas, not just this season but from last season as well.

4. I love Dallas and they are my NFC team but I am also looking at the big picture and Dallas is on the road to recovery not the road to the SB.

While I agree with that you also have to consider how much that game with the Bills shook their confidence? They know they got away with one. After 4 turnovers your odds of losing are 70% and they committed 2 more beyond that. We cant play the what if game, they did win, but did it give them motivation for this week or are they left thinking WTF just happened?

In any rate only 2 teams will remain undefeated this week
Colts (Bye) and Pats (Over Dallas) then only one will take out the other after that.

Im not just saying this from a Brady fan stand point but I think its to close to call. Brady can throw some Bombs and how do you have a completion rate of 80% if your not extremely accurate? Their IQ is to close to call as well they both manage and drive the offense like no other QB's in the game today. They are both extremely smart and are always making at the line adjustments. If Manning is better at either of those then its to close to call or be able to see on the field. As far as more heart Id definitely give that to Brady, the three rings prove that. You dont win 3 Superbowl's and two back to back with out tons of heart and that goes for the whole team as well.

If it where not for the Defensive break down last season for the Patriots they would still be looking for the first one Something I don't expect to have happen again this year, regular or Post season.

Everyone is touting the Dallas/Patriots game but I believe the best game of the year (regardless of their record at the time) will be the Indy/New England game. Indy beat them in the regular season and the Patriots had it all locked up to go to yet another Superbowl but blew it in the second half. Those wounds run deep and their will be some pay back hoping to be dealt out. The chargers Patriots game hyped did not live up to its expectations, I don't believe this game will disappoint.

well see this is where i think ur wrong peyton controls the line of scrimmage alot better i think and i hate the mofo manning calls all of his own plays brady doesnt exactly do that peyton manning is pretty much the offensive coordinator and qb at the same time. heart what are u talkin bout heart if u play in this league then u have already proved ur heart. cause u have had to work ur ass off to get there. i consider showing ur heart when ur out in practice in the middle of the summer when its 110 degrees on the field and ur still busting ur ass.

Brady may not call his own plays but once he gets up and takes a look at the defense he changes plays and makes adjustments a lot. I know you don't get to see many Patriot games b/c of where you are but Brady is always making line adjustments.

What I meant by heart is that he didnt always have a stealer offense yet he still found a way to win games by playing mistake free and making the right decisions. The wrong decision factor goes down the more offensive weapons you have.

Hate to say it but I think Green Bay is looking at loss #2 this week.

payback....look what happens when that's brought up...

San Diego was "supposed" to be getting it's payback for their loss last year in the post-season...that went well...huh?

Yeah but the patriots are not a bunch of maybes going off on how they are great before they won anything. The core group on this patriots team has won a lot already..

by this point in the thread I've realized there's really no point to post anything meaningful because Redline will just shoot me down...so I've basically reverted to just throwing fuel on the fire; so to speak...

San Diego lost on their own merits. Their first mistake was shooting off at the mouth about how good pay back was going to be.

From now until the Indy game find me one article in the papers or online with Patriot players shooting off at the mouth saying how sweet its going to be taking down Indy after last season.

*Waits patiently for said article to be posted*

Despite other posts saying how the Patriots are arrogant, mouthy, and run their mouth I have yet so ever see anything proving that. Patriots haters its all it is
