I'm going to have to rebuild my aod. What's a good shift kit or valve body for a daily driver. What about a converter? I'm also thinking 3.73 rear gears. What do you guys think?

i just picked up a perfromance automatic valve body off ebay...it can be shifted manually or driven like a regular auto...like the lintech but half the price (but the lentech does have electronic lockout) talk to the torque converter man an tell him ur mods/cam/gear an they will make a coverter recomendation for u.

The Street/Strip PA valvebody can be shifted manually by doing the 1-D-1 method. I've had this valvebody and it is decent but not as nice as the Lentech Street Terminator I have now. The Lentech shifts much quicker when shifted manually.

What's the difference in cost between building the aod and going t5, providing the performance level is about the same?

It cost me very little, but i'm extremely industrious. I think if you doubt your ability go ahead and stick with what you've got.
