Lucked up into a steal on a Vortech V2 SQ kit, My mechanic really helped me out on this one. So in the next 2 weeks or so. (as soon as he catches up on all the work for fun ford weekend) I should be in the FI group.

gotta take the N/A club out of my sig

but it is worth it

any guesses on the power gain I should see 8psi intercooled?

went 290 with current setup.

Congrats!

On the note of power: 400 ish? If you've got an intercooler going on - run more boost!

Well guys without LT's and otherwise stock engines are pushing 400. I would think with P&ZP heads, larger valves LT's and cams I should get more out of it right?

what cams do you have again? are they gonna hurt you under boost? some NA grinds just won't work well in boosted conditions....now with blower friendly cams at 9psi i'd say atleast 450rwhp.

ahh i guess... i may go to 10 or so, but I have higher compression so it is kinda touchy.

whats your piston dish? your forged so you can up the boost with a Centri if with slightly elevated Compression.

i have flat tops,.. but with the ported heads they tell me i am at 9.5 compression. my mechanic says he wouldnt be scared to go to 12psi or so easy

lol.. i had flat tops, stage 2 cams and ported heads already i said goodbye to that a long time ago


but its worth it ty

p&p heads don't drop your compression that much...if you have flat tops you would be over 12.0 compression. I'd check with your builder to be certain.

Congrats man! Glad to hear it....if you can do it then go for it . Im not against FI at all...I was going to do it but decided against it for the DD. However, Ill be joing you pretty soon with teh 66 hehehe.

I have.. I checked with the engine builder .. patriot and the mechanic they all came back with around 9.5.

then you don't have flat tops...more like stockish dish (pi) @ 17cc because flat tops will put you @12.5 comp...even with Cometic gaskets and P&P heads you'd be over 11.5 comp....
