Allright. I own a 96 cobra. I've been holding off on mods for a while so the wife wouldn't bitch so right now i've got her where i want her. I've got 60k on the stock motor. A family member of mine is going to give me his nos 125 shot system. In an ideal world i would just bolt this on a go but i want to avoid detonation at all cost. I know i have to retard my timeing 2 degrees for every 50 horse, use a step colder plug and run a higher 100 or so octane. Is this going to be safe for a while? In a little time i plan on a c&l true-flow and mass air change, larger injectors, larger fuel pump an adjustable regulator and a tune. Am i going to blow ***** up? Or is it cool giving her a blast her and there? Thanx fellas.

If you do it right, it'll be safe. Just make sure you don't skip on safety and up the fuel system. Get a fuel pressure, window, and wot switch. What kind of kit is it? wet/dry?

If you get a C&L (or any aftermarket MAF for that matter), be sure to have your car dyno tuned. An untuned C&L will lean out your air/fuel mixture, and that isn't healthy with nitrous.
