Hi guys I'm a 94-95 guy but I just got a shifter bezel out of a '00 GT and I am confused by the cigarette lighter socket. The socket in my '94 has two leads on it - hot and ground. The one from the '00 has three leads. Does anyone know what the third one is for?

i just checked the wirring diagram for a 00 mustang and found the cigarette lighter has 2 wires going too it. i can not give you a answer because my diagrams must be wrong.

probably a common. don't think it will hurt if you have nowhere to put it. is it green?
